I've heard of horror stories when it comes to moving, so I was very nervous about moving from Houston to Dallas.  We selected Allied as our moving company because we were impressed with the agent that came to give us an estimate.  I can't tell you how wonderful our move was.  Rafael was the team leader (his team included: Javier, Franklin and Modesto).  They worked so well as a team, and they were incredibly honest.  They handled our property as if it was their own.  I can't recommend them highly enough.  If you have to move, trust Allied!!!

If you're considering using Berger Allied for your move, I would STRONGLY recommend you avoid them at all costs. They did nearly $6,000 in damages to my furniture and managed to damage the walls and cabinets of my apartment while moving. To top this off, after I submitted the claim, they tried sending me a check for $340 to cover my losses. They will make you sign a form that gives them the right to repair or replace your furniture if it becomes damaged. What they don't tell you is that they outsource it to the worst and cheapest furniture repair shop they can find in order to low ball your claim. My $850 antique finished Restoration Hardware console table that had the bottom half of the base grinded away apparently only costs $100 to repair - no wonder they opt to repair 100% of the time, they get to stiff you on the actual replacement cost. I just wish the claims process was the only headache I had to deal with. Additionally, when they were loading my furniture, the loader fraudulently listed damages to all of the furniture items. She put on the loading form that my 2-month old sleeper sofa was stained, soiled, faded and scratched despite sitting unused in a room since I purchased it. I knew something was up right away as she had listed damages to EVERY single piece of furniture that I had, presumably to avoid liability when they eventually damaged it during the move. When I pointed this out to her, and made notes on the loading paperwork that I was not present at the inspection during loading and disagreed with the damage remarks, she began cursing me out to a coworker nearby. Unfortunately for her, I understand Spanish and every disparaging remark she made. What a total disaster coupled with horrendous customer service.This out of state move was the third I have done, and this was by far the worst, most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. I wish Yelp would allow giving the business zero stars, as a 1 star review is undeserved after how I and my belongings have been treated. At best, Berger Allied and its employees/affiliates operate at a level of incompetence that surpasses the worst you can possibly imagine. At worst, the company is damn near fraudulent and will do everything in their power to deny responsibility and make you whole after their many mistakes.
