The Art of Moving

I just had the worst experience ever with this company. I do not leave feedback online, but today I feel others should know about this. First, I have read many of the reviews, which is what guided my selection of The Art of Moving, but I would give them no stars if I could. I did my part by having my apartment packed and organized for the movers to arrive between 12 and 4 PM. At 4 I decided to text Francis as I had not heard from anyone. I was told I would get a call about an hour before the movers arrived. I was told, "I will check." No problem I can understand getting a little behind. At 7 I am still waiting so I called. Francis said he was on the way. Okay late but all is well. At 8:15 he knocks on my door and asks to survey what I want moved. Okay sure. He asks if I will walk outside with him and I did. Once outside he says, "I know it is none of your business and you are probably not a business owner but I can't control people when I arrive at their home. It is not my fault or yours, but I am late." I then said, " no problem I am just ready to get this stuff moved." I then pointed out how I had organized my place to help him be able to move faster. He then asked if his truck was in a good place, and I told him he was fine. Francis then says, "I know I committed to moving you today, but tomorrow is better for me!" I then reminded him that I need to be out for repairs. He then tried to convince me that the move will go faster if I wait until the morning. I then said, "I understand, but my things are packed away and my beds are not together. My family should not have to sleep on the floor." He then says, "it is not my fault I am late! I can help you with the rate." He told me he would not charge me for fuel. I then said, "I understand that but you need to move my stuff! It is not about the money." He really got angry and said, "I am not moving your stuff tonight!" I am now irritated and I simply said, "okay when are you coming?" Frances says, "when do you want me?" I then say, 8?!" He then gives me a scenario about traffic. He says, "definite times make me uncomfortable!" I then asked if he has another move scheduled. He told me, "no, but I don't want to say I will be anywhere when I may not be there." I explained to him if he had no bookings and asked when I want to start he should be free. I reminded him he was inconveniencing me. He then slapped his clip board against the wall and started to walk away. I asked, "where are you going?!" He then said to my shock, yelled "you are going to write bad reviews about me and I know it!" I said, "yeah, I'm going to have to do that!" He is now downstairs and at his truck shouting, "God bless you! I am not moving your stuff tomorrow!" I do not recommend this move to anyone! I have another more recognized mover coming tomorrow.

Called with 2 days notice and Francis fixed me up with a great crew.  Excellent service.  Fair price, very honest.  The crew I had (Robert/Dominic/Donte) were experienced professionals that did safe and fast job.  I couldn't have asked for a better experience.  I've moved 3 times in the past year, this was the best experience thus far.  Thanks!

Grossly unethical and unprofessional in resolving issues! My computer was damaged during my move on 6-30-17. Francis assured me this would be covered, replaced/repaired. Lies, delays, and the run-around ensued. Exhausted attempts to speak w/owner. With the movers being about 3 hrs. later than planned and the stress of other time commitments to vacate, I didn't read the contract thoroughly. However, it is outrageously WRONG for $10.20 to be a fair price for my loss on a $700 new computer, weighing 17 lbs. They pay $0.60/lb.  Even  w/a bogus contract, insurance laws regarding liability should be required. To date, they've failed to respond after several emails and a certified letter. Their name should be "The Art of Deception"

I was a little skeptical of this company because they had such low prices, but they did an excellent job. Robert and Francis were very friendly and professional. They worked very quickly and were sure to not waste time. Everything got to the destination without a scratch. Was very impressed. Highly recommend!

Five stars are not enough! This company may be small, but they gave the best price and did the job with both patience and excellence.  We will definitely be using this company again for any future moves.  The movers were very professional and friendly.  We moved our two bedroom apartment to a 2 story home, and they had everything moved within 4 hours.  The move into our house took less than one hour. Seriously, these guys are awesome! Thank you for making our transition easy.
