Senior Moving Company

My dad used this company to move from a 2000+ square foot home into his new retirement village apartment (roughly 700 sq ft). The movers were kind, efficient, friendly, and helpful. They did an excellent job with what was, by all accounts, a simple move.Fast forward a couple of weeks and my fiance and I (for many reasons that aren't really pertinent to the review) ran completely out of time to pack our apartment and get out in time to clean and turn in the keys by November 1. I looked up the possibility of extending the lease by a couple of weeks, and they would charge *more than double the monthly rent* for what they consider month-to-month renting. So, I figured that since we would have a major expense either way we looked at it, we might as well pay someone to pack our stuff and get out on time.I called Senior Moving Co on Monday afternoon. The owner looked at their availability and gave two options, and the best option was for 3 packers to show up at the door the very next morning to pack up the apartment. As it turns out, the owner herself was part of the packing team. She also brought her daughter-in-law and one of the movers that my dad had had. Between the four of us, we were completely done packing by around 3pm on Tuesday.After seeing all of the belongings and personally knowing how many boxes were stacked in the apartment, Phyllis (the owner) called me Wednesday morning to let me know that they were going to send 4 movers that day, instead of 3. However, she was *not* going to increase my rate accordingly.The 4 movers were awesome. We had quite a bit of furniture-- and much of it was really large and difficult to maneuver, especially considering the size of the apartment. They adeptly wrapped the pieces and moved all of them without a single incident. They took their time around corners or difficult/low/narrow doorways, they communicated well with each other to make sure everything was moved and placed well, and they were awesome about asking questions and otherwise communicating with us to ensure that everything was packed (and then unloaded/placed) exactly where and how we wanted it.This is by far the best moving experience I've ever had, and to be honest, it made an unusually stressful situation (the circumstances for the short timeline) incredibly easy. Phyllis and her entire team were courteous, pleasant, professional, and efficient. I will also happily say that the rates were also reasonable, fair, and clearly stated.I highly recommend this company. At least two of the movers with Senior Moving Co. have been with the company for over 10 years. That says a lot, in my mind.
