Since graduating from high school, I have moved an unreasonable amount of times.  I mean, really, you would think I was running from something because I've moved so much.  Dorm room to the sorority house, quickly out of the sorority house to my first apartment, first apartment to second apartment to third apartment to fourth apartment, etc., etc.  I've moved from Garland to Austin to Garland to San Antonio to Garland to Oklahoma City to Garland to San Antonio to Corpus Christi to Garland.  In that time, I've used numerous companies to help me in loading/unloading, and NONE of them were as amazing as Imlach.I first used them for my move from Corpus Christi to Garland (in March 2014), where most of my property was going into storage for a short time.  Imlach showed up on time and completely prepared to get to work.  I had used a different company to move into the apartment that Imlach was helping me move out of, and that previous company (with three loaders) took approximately FOUR hours to unload the truck.  That company blamed the layout of the complex and I had to help to get things moving.  Imlach, with 2 loaders and zero of my help, on the other hand, had my apartment completely loaded in 2 hours.  TWO hours versus Four.  Things moved quickly and took extreme care of my belongings in the back of their truck.  Everything was secured and they had plenty of pads to place on my belongings to keep them safe on the drive to the Dallas area.Imlach even allowed me to keep my belongings on their truck for a few extra days as my person was not actually moving with my belongings at the time.  Talk about service!I then met two unloaders at my storage unit, where they perfectly packed a unit that was on the verge of being too small for my stuff. When, a few months later, I needed my stuff pulled from storage, Imlach was the only company I even considered to help.  I met them back at the unit, and they had the unit unloaded, truck loaded, and unloaded in just under three hours.  My stuff was in great condition, and the guys were amazing and professional.I know the other reviewer had a pretty terrible experience, but three years later, I was extremely impressed by the service that Imlach gave me.  I am definitely an Imlach customer for life, and highly recommend them for your next move.

Our experience with Imlach was absolutely terrible. Many items were broken and lost. Their payout was laughable. Do yourself a favor and look else where.

If you need to move, please look elsewhere.  I just moved most of my remaining furniture from Dallas to the Bay Area.  I'd used Imlach before and they were barely OK.  Thinking that the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know, I made the mistake of using Imlach Movers again...and I'm paying for it.  Imlach movers ended up subcontracting a part of my move to another company that I knew nothing about, delivered my furniture weeks late, with many of my nice furniture items badly damaged.  First, Imlach completely botched my delivery dates, missed the delivery window they themselves gave me, and then never provided any more updates, causing me to rearrange my work and family schedules several times to accommodate them.  Every time, it took several phone and email follow-ups before I got a vague response back (still without a date).  In the end, 5 weeks after pick-up, I was told the evening before that my furniture would arrive the next morning.  Still, my furniture arrived late in the evening.  I had to cancel my family's Father's Day event just so I can finally take possession of my furniture, rather than wait for another several weeks.    On the delivery date, I was surprised to find that a different company (outsourced by Imlach) showed up with 3 square pods with my furniture very badly and sloppily packed inside.  This included a very expensive 100-year old handmade antique armoire, which Imlach had promised to recrate and never did. That certainly was not my expectation.  I expected Imlach themselves to deliver the furniture they'd picked up, as they'd done in the previous move.  There was no one from Imlach at delivery, and I was not given any heads-up from Imlach about this other company.  And, to add insult to injury, when the delivery guys took my furniture out, many of my pieces were irreparably damaged.  When I reached out to Gregg Imlach (owner/manager) who I'd worked with directly to set up the pick-up, he never picked up the phone.  Instead, he responded with a couple of short inadequate emails without addressing the issues I was raising.   When I followed up, he simply stopped responding to my emails altogether.  Further, rather than be compensated for this horror, Gregg Imlach simply referred me to the main Atlas Customer Service line.  Regarding my damaged furniture, Gregg Imlach had the audacity to suggest that they would only be responsible for damages while it was strictly within Imlach's control, and has nothing to do with the damages if caused by their subcontractor.  In short, the service offered by Imlach Movers was outrageously bad.  If you're looking for a moving company, do yourself a favor and find anyone else.  Even in an industry notorious for horrific service, Imlach movers stands out as particularly bad.
