I can't tell you how much I love these guys!  This is the second time I have used them and again they were a dream.They moved me from Uptown 4th floor with a elevator in the middle of a bunch of construction to a 3rd floor walk up in 100 degree heat.  In 3 hours.  I will tell you it was NOT an easy job.  Hourly rate is very reasonable. Guys were super friendly and got the job DONE.  I recommend them to anyone who needs a mover. Seriously.  USE THEM!

I will share my experience without emotion and give the reader a chance to decide whether or not this moving company is one they will use in the future. Given that the crew had to travel north bound 35 during morning commute they were an hour late. Once they showed up they hadn't gotten one piece of furniture on the truck and it started pouring. The three gentlemen were incredibly polite and honest and told us that they wouldn't be able to move us. They then said they could move us at a later  date that weekend but that they would prep and saran wrap everything so its ready to go on Sunday. Once they had spent about 4 hours saran wrapping everything in the house (which I am not sure why at this point because the weather was fine for when we were reschedule to move)  and after having to just stand around and come up with a plan they then decided to go ahead and move us without even discussing this change of plans first. There wasn't any open line of communication. We had to ask what they were doing at one point. Then once everything was loaded on the truck the gentlemen asked if we wanted to just keep the Sunday date. We agreed to keep the Sunday date. There was a slight issue because we have not only a piano but also an organ that needed to be moved and this crew had not been told that there would be a second stop to a storage unit on the way to the new house let alone did they know about the piano and organ. They informed us they really needed a 4th guy to help anyways and they'd bring him Sunday.  Sunday comes and they show up bright and early at 7 am exactly when they said they would. They unloaded quickly then we were told that the piano and organ couldn't be moved in. So we arranged to have them take it to another location to be stored. Now after several hiccups that couldn't be helped with the move like the organ and piano and of course the rain we were handed our invoice. Before we were handed they invoice they started going on all the fees they were going to waive. Like the saran wrap fee, which we weren't told about in the first place, or the over night fee, which again we were not told about, or the traveling fee and I will admit it makes perfect sense to have a fee for that when there are multiple locations especially when they aren't planned (i.e. piano and organ having to be moved to another location), or the 2nd day fee that we weren't told was a charge, BUT there was a fee that wasn't waived which was apparently the rate changed when there are 4 movers. We were not told that either. Now, time for my personal opinion. Instead of standing around and saran wrapping everything in the house that didn't even need it they should have just gone home. At one point I am pretty sure they would have wrapped our toilet paper had it not still been in the saran wrap package still. There should have been open lines of communication. We were told "its $125 and hour" so that is what we believed we were going to be charged. I feel that they milked the clock on this job. After all they walked away with an almost 1400$ invoice and the job still wasn't completed. So when we called because we didn't understand why there was such an increase in the billing than anticipated we were told, "Well there were 4 guys on the job and we have to pay them." In my personal opinion from someone that has relocated several times for family or business, this is the first time I have ever felt taken advantage of.  Not to mention the most that has ever been paid for a mover... I feel that I shouldn't be eating the cost for their inability to communicate. To me it is a failure on their part for the lack of communication all across the board. I personally will not use them ever again and forgive me when I say my ass is still sore from being fucked royally from behind.Warm regards,Lola Zene-Smith

My husband and I have used Herman's Transfer three times in the past 5 years. Two local moves within Dallas and one out of state move. They are an exceptional company and the guys who complete the moving are professional, timely, efficient, and really take care with your things as well as the home you are moving in and out of. They have also flexed their experience and creativity during a few of our moves. We question if a big, awkward piece of furniture can make it through a doorway or up a flight of stairs and they make it happen.  Highly recommend!

These guys moved my business locally.  They showed up when they said they would, worked diligently (I was paying them at an hourly rate) and moved things around and as directed with nary a frown or sigh.  I would definitely recommend them.
