Got It Moving

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called Got It Moving because two of my friends had used them and had great things to say. So I scheduled my move and took the day off work.  They never showed up. I don't mean they were extremely late, I mean never. I tried calling the company and no one answered. Tried calling their Houston branch, no answer. I emailed the guy I'd been talking to all week to schedule my move, no answer. I emailed his boss, no answer. So after wasting an entire day and not having time to schedule another company, my parents and friends helped me. The only good thing was I hadn't paid them yet so I could treat my parents and friends to a thank you dinner with that money.

My story is just about the same as the one above. I was supposed to have movers on Monday between 12-3 but they said they didn't schedule me a crew because I never gave them my address. They never bothered to call and ask for it even though they had my zip code and the name of my apartment complex. So we rescheduled for Wednesday between 12-3 and i got a call at 2:30 saying they would be a couple hours late because the people before me "lied" about how much stuff they had. When i called at 5 pm, they told me they were on their way shortly and would have the driver call me, and then around 5:45 the driver called and told me he was heading to Arlington from Farmers Branch(about a 45 min drive). He failed to mention that once in Arlington he still had to drop off his truckload. After explaining to the driver and the cust. service rep that my storage unit locks up with no exit after 9 pm, they both assured me they could make it in time. I also called to ask if i could only pay for an hour of service since that's clearly all i would be getting, and after all the hassle of waiting and everything i felt that was appropriate, but they said no discount and all they were willing to do was tell me that they would give me a good rate when i move OUT of my storage unit, YEAH RIGHT! After having to meet the truck driver at a local restaurant at 7:30 pm so that he could follow me to my place because that was "quicker than looking up directions", we get to my apartment and I give them instruction and then immediately start moving down small boxes and bags myself, concerned with the small time window. Then they come down after I've already made 3 trips downstairs, and they haven't done anything, and they tell me they can't be done by 9 pm when my storage unit closes, and left without attempting to move anything. When i tried to call the office to complain the same evening, after the drivers assured me there were still people at the office, I got constant ringing on 3 calls, hung up on twice, and voicemail twice! they were very obviously avoiding my call, and no doubt have caller id! they WILL screw you over, they have wasted a day and a half of my time already, and left me to find next day movers! Their discounted price DOES come at a significant cost of time, effort, and personal frustration, and that's  assuming they ever even show up at all!!!
