BEWARE......DO NOT HIRE DALLAS MOVERS!!!!   Dallas Movers does not even deserve one star.  I recently moved with Dallas Movers from Dallas, TX to Boston, MA.  When setting up my move, my relocation specialist, Allie made everything sound so easy; however, I have never been more frustrated with a company in my life.  I moved to Boston on July 31st.  It is now August 6th and my stuff is still in a warehouse in Texas and no one can tell me an exact date that it will leave Dallas or arrive in Boston.  However, most irritating is the lack of communication and honesty from Dallas Movers.   Dallas Movers will not actually move your stuff.  Another company they contract out to will- they will not tell you this when you are setting up your move.  The  company who actually moved my stuff was Jet Van Lines and they were a nightmare to move with.  (Go check out their reviews on yelp- had I known I would be dealing with Jet Van Lines, I would have NEVER signed a contract).   But, Dallas Movers never told me this, and suddenly I was getting calls from and writing out checks to this other company.  Dallas Movers will also quote you way under the actual cost- my move was quoted at $1,100 and will total to be over $2,000- almost double in price!   They never once offered to send someone out to quote my move (which apparently they do for free?).  I trusted Allie on helping me quote because, after all, her title is relocation specialist, she should know what she is talking about- this was no the case.  Additionally, on their website, Dallas Movers touts their excellent communication record by saying: "From the beginning of your relocation process to its successful conclusion, be certain that you will get the Dallas Movers Edge: This entails consistent and ongoing communication with your personal relocation specialist regarding all aspects of your move."   However, this could not be farther from the truth.  Dallas Movers will call you all the time while setting up your move, but once you set it up, you will never hear from them again.  My emails for the past month have not received a reply, every time the receptionist tells me that the relocation specialist is "busy," "not there for the day" or "at lunch" (I am seriously beginning to wonder if they ever work??), and despite leaving messages, my calls have never once been returned.    I have not talked to someone from Dallas Movers in over a month and a half despite my efforts to try to contact them!  If you want a shady moving company that lies, is unresponsive, and will cause you a stressful move, this is the company for you.  If you want a reliable, professional, responsive service, choose a different moving company.
