Okay, I never ever write Yelp reviews, but my experience with this company was so horrific that I honestly feel I have a duty to share this with the rest of the world to hopefully help prevent what happened to me for someone else. I had a 4 location move, with about 20 big items that I had listed out to the agent I spoke with when getting a quote. The movers were to come to my place and get my things, then to my boyfriends place to get his things, then drop off most of our stuff at our new house and take the rest to my parents house about 25 minutes away. She told me it would be best to do an hourly rate, so she put me in the 7am - 12pm time window with a quote of $350 for 3.5 hours. $26.5/hr that we went over. At Noon when I still had not heard from anyone at the company, I called to check on the status of my movers. The agents told me that they weren't able to get in touch with them but that they were "running behind and it would be longer," I was never given an exact time. I had reserved my moving elevators from 7 am to 2:00 to ensure that the movers were able to take my stuff out of my apartment. It wasn't until 2:30 that I finally talked to a manager who told me that they had a flat tire and would be arriving "soon." At 3:00 the movers showed up, I did not have access to the moving elevators any longer so already we were at a disadvantage. They load up my things, and we realize very soon after that they did not have enough room in the truck for my boyfriend's items!I called APT movers back, they admitted to making a mistake, saying they sent the small truck instead of the large one like they should have if they had looked closer at our inventory list. The best the company said they could do was charge me ANOTHER $150 to have a new set up of movers come the next day to take the rest of his things. They took 0 responsibility for their mistake and left me 0 options. The people I spoke with were rude and condescending and I ended up paying WAY more than expected. My movers who came to do the job said this happens all the time, and that the front office is incredibly unorganized and inefficient. I would NEVER move with these people again, and I would NEVER recommend them. This company has the worst customer service of all time and made an already stressful experience worse.
