Your getting one star because it wont allow me to give you NO STAR!"Always Best Price Moving" in Mesquite, Tx. is the most unprofessional so called moving company, I have ever encountered. I typically use Midnight Hour Movers based out of Hurst, Tx. Midnight Hour Movers has no fuel charges, no stair charges, no heavy lifting charges, no extra charges PERIOD. However, this time, I ran across a Groupon for Always Best Price Moving that was worth checking into, or so I thought! The Groupon advertises for either 2 hrs or 4hrs of moving services for either $99.00 or $179 but does not say if that includes a truck, and if so, what size truck. It also states that additional charges may apply. So before purchasing the Groupon, I called the number listed on the ad, and a gruff sounding man answers without identifying the company. As I explain that I wanted to check into the details of the Groupon and to see if they would be available on the particular weekend I need, he rudely tells me someone will call me back. Days go by and I hear nothing. I call one more time, and the same illiterate sounding, rude and unhelpful man tells me to call another number. I should have moved on then, but I entertained it further. I called the number and no answer. The voicemail did not indicate a personal name nor a company name. I left my name, and why I was calling with the date I was interested in using their services, and the questions I has surrounding the groupon. A lady calls me back quickly and tries to book me on the incorrect day. I asked her to slow down, that I really wanted to find out the details about the Groupon and I corrected the date of service I needed. She proceeds to tell me that I do not need to go through Groupon, that she can match the deal on her own and just wanted my personal info. At this point I was seeing her unprofessionalism as well, so I told her I was just going to go with another company. She said ok and we hung up. How dare she try and cut Groupon out completely! I thought that was it. But NO. I started getting text messages from her number! Two different texts; both did appear to be by accident, However, the first of which said "heading back to mesquite now. I can take you at noon right.." The other was just gibberish. I replied nicely with..."Please do not send text messages to this #. Ty."Her response...."It was a freaking accident evidently!! Definitely not on purpose!!"I was quite shocked at the response. I was taught in school that exclamation marks indicate inflation in voice & feelings IE YELLING!. So I replied...."Now you're screaming? You and the hillbilly that answers the main phone are very unprofessional. I will be reporting such."Her response and to my astonishment......"I'm sorry that my 3yr old granddaughter texted you by mistake!! But if we are going to call names you are being a TOTAL B!TCH.... NOW I SCREAMED!! OH YES YOU ARE VERY HATELFUL HAS WELL...."Yes I did call the rude man a hillbilly, but if you encountered the poor service I did, or lack of service all together, then you might have a few choice words as well. I however did not deserve to be called a B!tch. I simply didn't want this lady texting my phone. This so called company does not know how to advertise (missing key pieces of info on their ads), they do not know how to identify their company (neither person answers the phone in a professional manner with company recognition), they do not know how to honor business contracts (the lady was trying to undermine Groupon who gets a commission of each ad they sale by cutting them out all together), they do not know how to keep up with clients (I left a message with the date of service I needed and she couldn't even get that straight by trying to book me days before the date I needed) and overall they are simply a horrible company to work with. I would refuse to work with them in the future even if it were FREE!always-best-price-moving…

One of the worst experiences in my life. I scheduled the move well in advance. I called the day before to confirm. When they didn't show up in the morning I called and they said I rescheduled. I told them I had to move since my lease was up. They showed up at 4pm (one hour late) with a rickety trailer that could not hold all my furniture and would probably damage everything in route. Surprise fees were an added bonus. Let me give you an idea of the problems having unreliable movers are: calling the electric company to change your cut off date, calling the water company to change your cut off date, no TV/internet, rescheduling carpet cleaning, etc. There is no savings with this company, spend your money with reliable movers, thank goodness you are at least reading some reviews. Please keep searching, this company is a bad deal all around.

This was the worst moving experience of my life. The movers told us they would be there between 2-4pm on Friday, 1/25. They finally arrived at 5pm, late to start. The most shocking initial impression is that two of the three movers were scrawny teenage boys, who couldn't have been older than 15 or 16. One kid had his left hand on the front of his pants the ENTIRE time, so as to keep them from falling down around his ankles. The other kid easily weighed less than me (115 pounds).Their moving truck not only had a hand-written name on it (which also doubled as a firewood delivery van), but was too small for our move, even after describing the items to be moved with the company over the phone and in writing. The one adult 'supervisor' took frequent cigarette breaks during the hourly time, while the two teenagers tried unsuccessfully to use a dolly. Our hands were totally tied, as this was the last available day we had to move our apartment belongings.They are cash only which was not disclosed until arrival. There was also a hidden $40 fuel charge as well, to drive 7 miles. They tried to charge us an additional undisclosed charge of $25 for stairs until we protested. They were incredibly slow. In the first 35 minutes not one thing had been put on the truck. They were so slow my husband and I started moving boxes and chairs and anything else just to get it moving. The young kids, while pleasant, we're completely inexperienced movers and were given no direction or help from the older gentleman. It took an hour and a half just to load the truck, and that is only boxes, a few pictures, and minimal furniture (no bed, no couch, no appliances). When unloading our belongings at our new house, the 3 movers spent at least half an hour folding their moving blankets perfectly, and NOT unloading our items. We were baffled that this was a company Groupon would put their name on. Beware the $88 Groupon we purchased for two hours of moving, which ended up costing us almost $300 for a small 750 sq ft one bedroom move.

Bought a GROUPON for 2 movers & 24' truck. Move was scheduled for 1/3 @3pm & was informed I would receive an email with instructions prior day to move. When I never received & it was the day of I had to reach out to the owner who advised that I would in fact be moved that day but not at 3. I was then called back at 8pm & informed that I would not be moved that day that instead it would be the next morning what type of business changes the date of your move. For the error on the companys behalf I was given an extra man & they would be there at 9am. The men arrived at 9:30 am in a 10' truck instead of the 24' truck I paid for and looked like drug addicts. The truck had the name of the company written with a sharpie on the side. The extra man that I was given stayed on the truck and did not benefit me in anyway he was the supervisor. We ending up making two trips and I was charged an additional $400 due to receiving less then adequate workers on top of a small truck which resulted in two trips. I refused to pay and when I called the owner to negotiate a fair settlement I was told to speak to the supervisor in regards to my concerns. I was given 2 african american drug addicts and one caucasion which the caucasion was the only one who really knew his job and had the strength as well as fitness for the job. Now how is this right to receive this level of care and not be treated fairly. I refused to pay that amount and told them to sue me they would not take credit card nor check and only wanted to deal in cash which only ghetto company's do. I was also told that the original movers couldnt move me because they were tired from the previous night and that they were the only ones available so I get any type of service. I was not given a receipt nor did the workers have liscences to move me when I asked for them to show me they could not. This experience was the worst experience I have received and when I contacted Groupon they apolgized and refunded me my money to show there concern. Horrible Business

Rescheduled on me the morning of, so I had to reschedule my cable guy.  They showed up smelling of weed, and told me I had to pay $75 for fuel which is ridiculous, plus an additional $25 for going up the stairs for only one item. I spent all week carrying things downstairs myself and the only thing left was the dresser. How can it cost $25 to up the stairs once? Once! He said that since I had gone through Groupon they had to charge me. The price on their truck, handwritten in marker, was the same price as Groupon. $99 for 2 hours. I said how can it be the same price, but you're telling me it's a better deal to NOT go through Groupon? Even though the actual physical work is the same? He said yes, if I had not purchased from Groupon he wouldn't have charged me the stairs fee. One of the movers used my bathroom and came out with a cigarrette in his mouth. He kept telling me he needed my $100 over and over before they were even finished.  I only had $98 in my purse and he said it was fine. I asked for a receipt and he said he couldn't give it to me yet. I've been calling over and over and someone tells me "leave a message and they'll call you back." They are horrible people and horrible movers, don't buy their groupon and don't schedule them ever.
