My best moving experience so far. I moved from Fortworth, TX to Seattle, WAThe process was plain and simple..1) Company rep. (Paul) came out to my place and evaluated everything, gave a quote.2) Quote wasn't the cheapest one when compared to others but I talked to Paul couple of times and he looked genuine.3) The company didnot asked any token money to book!! They trusted me (hard to find)4) On moving day, 2 guys came.. very friendly and helping.. did a lot more than what was in quote. Didnot ask for any tip or extra money5) I updated the address vis email to the company after 1 week.. I was expecting the stuff to come atleast 3 weeks from there6) the stuff showed up 1 week later. 2 different guys but equally friendly!!HIGHLY recommended.

If there were a way to put rotten tomatoes, I'd do that instead of the star.  I am relocating from NY to Dallas for an academic job.  The University had three vendors come and tender a quote for my move and subsequently awarded it to A-1Freeman / Northamerican.  Paperwork signed.  Phone conversations had.  Emails exchanged.  Everything was supposedly set for pick up on Monday...until it wasn't.On Saturday, I emailed agents I was assigned at A1-Freeman asking about what time the pickup was scheduled for on Monday as I had not heard anything.  In response to my email, I was told that "as of now, they did not have an agent nor a driver to service this pick up on Monday".  There was no phone call.  No proactive email.  In fact there wasn't even a call in response to the email I sent inquiring or a response to the email I sent requesting a call back.On Monday, there was no progress made and by the middle of the day, they decided that they can "No longer service this move".  Boom.  That's it.  So for the "best moving experience ever".  I guess they're pretty good at not damaging your stuff because they don't even handle it.  It is unbelievable to me that none of the two agents were able to email / call me directly ahead of time to tell me what was happening.  Not only ahead of time, but neither afterwards.  I get that the "client" is the University.  However, it's not the University that's moving.  It's the University's faculty member.I do not typically write reviews.  However, this is just too awful an experience to not alert people to.  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.  THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE.  THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH.  THEY DO NOT SEEM TO CARE.

I had only a few days to retrieve my late mother's belongings (several rooms of antique furniture) and have them moved to the East Coast. And, I had no experience with movers!  But A1 Freeman did a PERFECT job of pricing the move and executing it. I've heard lots of "mover horror stories" over the years, but my own experience with this company was ideal. I highly recommend them.

Mageon from the Dallas office came to my home on Monday October27, 2014.  I have not seen a quote and have contacted her 3 times by email.  Do Not Use This Company!!!!!  Complete unprofessional team!!!!  They cannot even return phone calls or emails.  Mark W. Manager  ( no way I would use these guys )

I posted this originally in July 2008. Just today, I got a thank you email from A-1. I decided to be a good sport and delete my post and then I remembered that I don't really care. So here it is again...from 07/08/2008: This company moved our office from Lewisville to Highland Village. The account manager came out and was very professional saying we would get a certain level of service and it would be a seamless move, especially with the hardware in the warehouse, which they have a system to keep everything in line and orderly. Well...The movers arrived and didn't know their foot from their hand. They destroyed expensive computer equipment and mixed up all the shelves in the warehouse (which my boss and I have to reorganize now). The offices were not put together correctly, which were based on meticulous grids of each office. I have heard good things about this company from high-profile companies in the area that have used them...apparently those companies got the A-team...we got the D-team.
