Hired Hercules to pack and move household belongings into storage. Packers and movers were courteous but were generally unsupervised and did not follow through on instructions provided by the owner of the company. They agreed to put several items in a storage location where they would be easily accessible. They did not follow through which forced me to have to replace those items as they were inaccessible during the times that I needed them. Also, they did not have the padding and blankets needed to protect wooden and antique furniture in storage. Those supplies needed to be provided at my own expense.

Hercules was very good. We have moved five times since 1999, and no one was better. They were not perfect in that they let a shelf from an antique Japanese cabinet fall so that a five inch strip was torn off, but that was a bit of bad luck and minor compared to the things they did right. They came when they said they would, returned phone calls, gave an accurate estimate, and best of all they came with more hands than any other mover so that they were able to complete the move swiftly. Since I am old we asked them to pack us, too, and they completed the packing in half a day with one person per room. They had twice as many hands as any other mover, and all the other movers took twice as long to pack. Having that extra half day at a busy time was valuable to us. We would use them again in a minute.
