If I could give them zero stars I would.I've had identical experiences as Youna and Kirsten. I'm currently still in the middle of what I've dubbed "The Move of Hell, from Hell."It was a quick job because Budget Vanlines cancelled on me (without notice, but that's a different review waiting). Quick shouldn't make a difference as I'm still paying for it and they agreed to do it. My pickup was scheduled for Nov. 25 or 26. As I didn't get a show up window as promised 48 hours ahead of time, I started calling and calling for info, fearing a second cancelation hours before I was scheduled to physically move - flights booked, suit cases packed, everything waiting to be picked up. They're coming they said, over and over again. Clock strikes 3pm on Day 2. No word. I call back and finally get some sort of panic from John in Dispatch. My truck's first stop of the day was just over an hour away from me and got hung up, he said, and to call back at 4 if I still hadn't heard from them. I hadn't. This time John told me the customer before me had filled up the truck, taking my space, leaving me truckless. He was now scrambling to find me a new truck but he, nor Alliance, nor that carrier (whose name I never learned) wouldn't take responsibility and continuous (to this day) blamed the costumer before me. That's unprofessional - isn't the customer always right? They have absolutely no backup plan in place for when customer overages happen. He said it'd never happened before, which I highly doubt. He wanted to issue me a refund, but I refused to let him. I needed to be picked. He kept stressing it was the end of the month -- the busiest time of all to move -- and Thanksgiving, as if I'd become understanding of the situation "the other customer" put me in. I'd paid a deposit, I didn't care. They were my second company, I wasn't moving to a third, especially since I was now hours away from my flights to move which couldn't be rescheduled for the exact same reasons he couldn't find me a truck. He eventually did (five days later), but not without plenty of angst on both sides. Sixteen days (from my original expected pickup day) later I'm still waiting for my delivery. My stuff was finally picked up by Eco Vanlines, obviously I didn't have a say in which carrier they used but wish I had. Their reviews are pathetic. The moving industry might be the slimiest there is. I use to be convinced it was the cable company, but no. This is a new low. The quote Alliance provided was reasonable, but Eco has basically ignored it. I wasn't present at pickup and had left half of what I expected with the friend letting them in, (this was the only slightly helpful thing Alliance was able to coordinate). I've now been informed about extra weight and packing materials that are adding $650 dollars on delivery... if they ever show up. They have 20 days from pickup, which we're on day 11. These contracts are written to protect the brokers and movers, not the customer. The one I signed was also laced with typos. I wish I would have actually read it before signing as that should have been red flags. Brokers get away with being awful scammers because they promise low quotes on small quantity moves. I didn't have enough stuff for a real, full, professional moving company so this was my only option.Solution: don't use a broker to move. Sell your stuff, make strong friends, win the lottery and over pay professional movers, but don't book with Alliance. (Side note: Alliance poorly won my business because they continued to partially harass me after filling out some quote generator. When I'd told Richard in Estimates, I'd booked with Budget he bad mouthed Budget for a solid 90 seconds trying to steal my business. Had the nerve to say "told ya so" when I call him back and he promised me it'd be a smooth move. That it has not.)  Accepts credit cards for the deposit. Pick up and delivery fees must be cash or money orders.

They were supposed to pick up my stuff 14 days ago, but informed me on the day of pickup that they would be unable to do so. They have not called me since with updates and I am already in a new city without any of my belongings. Completely unprofessional. And they still have my deposit of $600. It's starting to feel like a scam.

Giving a one star is still being nice.  My moving experience from MA to CA was HORRIBLE!!!!!  Absolutely DO NOT use them!!!! I was quoted $1800 for the move, after I described the details of my furnitures and items.  The rate was not the lowest but also not the highest. My husband was concerned about moving companies broker out moving jobs; called the company and was assured that they have their own fleet of trucks to move the furnitures.  What we actually got:Alliance lied!  They broker out the moving job to a New Jersey company and jacked up the price from $1800 to $3000!!!  After I threaten to cancel the job on the spot, they lower the price down to $2600.   The movers were very nice people but this leaves us a very bad feeling of bate and switch tactic to get out business.

We've been hunting for moving companies to help us move across country. They called and emailed and bothered me so many times (in one day!) I said no simply because they were rude and harassing.

APPALLING  SERVICE - Wish I could give no star at allOur experience with Alliance Moving Services Inc is excruciatingly similar to the several one star reviews written here.In hindsight the mistakes we made were not reading the reviews prior, allowing the sales guy Napoleon to rush us to electronically sign a contract without reading through it first. Please do your due diligence and research the customer service reviews online. The so called positive reviews they have here are suspect at best.We  moved from NYC to Miami and told Napoleon that we did not want any surprises in the pricing. We sent him an itemized list of what we were shipping out. He promised us that if we needed to speak with him he would be available to answer any further questions but once we had signed the agreement we were told, when we asked for him, that he was not available. As per our contract Alliance were to hold our belongings in storage in Miami and as soon as we found our new apartment delivery was to take 5-7 business days .Day of pick up:A different company called  All Points Moving & Storage turn up. we realized then that  Alliance Moving Services Inc is a broker NOT a moving company. We had to sign new papers. They tried to have us pay for parking tickets which we refused, They charged us $75 dollars for 6 extra steps on a single flight of stair that we had been told (By Alliance) would be no problem, they strong armed us into accepting and signing a binding agreement  of their estimate in weight and were told it could be more expensive when they weighted it in NJ. Yes the storage was now going to be in NJ not Miami as agreed upon.So we paid an extra $500 dollars plus a tip $210 cash (we were nervous that they would not take care of our stuff if we did not comply)Once we found our new apt in Miami we called on November 6th and let them know we were now ready for delivery and the nightmare continued. Tom at All Points kept promising that the driver would call us once he had left New York  and give us a ETA which he never did, I had to initiate all calls. When i called again I was told that the driver had left from New York on Monday 10th and should be in Miami by weeks end. Friday 14th i called again and was told it would now be Monday or Tuesday and the driver would call. I called the driver Monday 17th  he did not know when he would get here. I then called Tom and asked them to please give me a time and was told to expect delivery  Tuesday 18th between noon and 4:00pm.Tuesday 2,00pm I  get a call saying that the move was now cancelled for that day as they had to change to a smaller truck. Now we were  getting so frustrated and decided to check their reviews on yelp. Alliances were appalling and All Points are bad too. I became super nervousI decide to begin taking video of the calls.I called Alliance and got an assurance via email stating that the move would be Wednesday 9am.Day of Delivery:9:05am I call Tom who says that it will now be 10:30 to 11:00am11:15: I call Tom and am told that the driver is on his way from Fort Lauderdale a 30 min tripI call Alliance again and am told very rudely that that is the way it is and they have up to 21 days for delivery. When I told her I was taping the call she said she did not care. I spoke with Tom who then started yelling at me, he told me he should be charging us a shuttle fee of $400 as an 18 wheeler would not fit on  my street!!2:30pm My husband then called and was told the guy was outside.Over 5 hours late.We now had to pay money orders to yet another company not All Points (they farmed it out ). One guy by himself. Both my husband and I had to help him with everything. It was evident that our stuff had been moved or should I say thrown about especially it seems, the fragile labelled boxes. So we thought we signed with Alliance  Moving Services Inc who brokered it to All Points  Moving & Services who then dropped it off to another company's storage in Fort Lauderdale where it was transferred again and picked up for delivery to our new place..The reason they could not be clear in communication is that these companies are involved in giving the customer the impression that it is one seamless move. It was so incredibly stressful that we will never use movers again I have no idea why they are able to get away with ripping customers off like this.We had so many items broken that it is too long for me to list here.Check their so called 5 star reviews carefully I do not think they are realDO NOT USE ALLIANCE MOVING SERVICES INC & ALL POINTS MOVING AND SERVICES
