These people are crooks and thieves. They ruined my furniture. I took them to court and won a judgment against them. Please DO NOT use the company. They use day laborers as movers, who will destroy and damage your furniture. They don't deserve a rating of one, but since that is the lowest, they will receive it. Yaniv and the cronies that work for him are all thieves. They will make you pay by cash or money order, so the payments cannot be traced. If you are moving locally in NJ, please be advised they do not have a moving license to operate in NJ, they will tell you they do. Again DO NOT use them.

Great moving crew!! I was scared to pick a moving company that gave me a cheap price because of all the negative reviews about moving companies in general. I was bombarded with different phone calls and emails from companies everywhere regarding my move from DC to Jersey close to the Manhattan area. However, this Stop and Move stood out with the cheap quote I received on my email. It still took me a while to make a final decision to choose them since all other Moving companies kept scaring me about being careful, the movers will charge more, there will be damages on my furniture, etc. Long story short, I finally decided to go with Stop and Move and hoped to have a smooth move.(my price was super low and i was on a budget.) The sales person was very helpful and it was easy dealing with her. The movers picked up my items and I did have some additional charges since I bought a few pieces of furniture that I decided to take with me to Jersey. Got my items in Jersey later that night with a few damages. I called the company the next morning and they forwarded me to their claims department. I was bummed out about the damages but at least they had insurance. I know it's stressful trying to move from one state to another and I recommend using this company. I give them 4.5 stars.

The reason we went with your company is because of the timing and the price. We needed our things for work and now this place is causing us to spend more money.I was told our items would be delivered within 7 days. I confirmed with Monica it would be delivered by the 21st of June. She said yes and we booked your service. Then after our things are picked up she says 7 business days. I look on your website to see what days you're open for business and it says Monday-Saturday. That means we are at the 10th day. I then contact someone else who tells me you don't count Saturday as a business day when you're open for business that day. So that still brings us to day 8. When will our things be delivered? Not only is this causing us to spend more money, it's is now affecting my business and my ability to do business which is now costing me event more money. On top of that, one of the two reasons we picked your company was price. Monica gave us a quote, we change the quote and it went up. We were fine with that until the movers came and gave us a price that was double and showed me a paper with all of the hard costs for things like steps, packing, length of walkway to carry items etc which is standard pricing for your business. Those costs were quoted to us at an inordinately low fee which was extremely deceitful when those actual costs are known. On the 24th, I called and spoke to Monica and she then told me it's 7 business days from the time we are available to receive. Which is not what was said from the start or the 2nd time around. I was hung up on, called back several times and no answer. She then picked up and immediately put me on hold. When she got on I was asking for her to show me the contract I signed where it said 7 business days after the date we would be available. I asked her to show me that I am wrong and I'll gladly drop it. She said it's in my email and she refused to send it again. As I was speaking she started speaking over me and I asked "are you going to let me speak and listen to your customer?" She then replied "I don't need to listen to you". I asked her if her boss Rachel lied to me saying she would contact the driver and get back to me. She said yes. I sincerely hope they have recordings of their conversations. I looked at the contract I signed. It okay says up to 7 business days. It doesn't say up to 7 business days after your available date. When we spoke, she confirmed the 21st, which is 7 days after pickup. Naturally, this is what one would expect when told this is the date. From the start there has been total lack of communication and total lack of accuracy for no reason at all. They have this information. The guys who picked up my things said she low balled the estimate incredibly. He was shocked himself. Their website states they are "decorated to rest customer service" and "moving representatives offer a listening ear, helping hand, and empathetic, practical full-scale move planning to help make your experience not only as efficient as possible - but as pleasant". Neither of which are true. They also state "Our team will work according to your exact wishes, needs, and specifications..." and "We are dedicated to taking care of each and every of our customer's needs - no matter how detailed - and conduct our business according to the highest degree of ethics, transparency, and professionalism."Clearly that isn't the case. Find a company that will give you a flat rate. They will hike up the price as soon as they arrive on site. And at that time, it's too late because you've already put down the 50% REQUIRED deposit.

Absolutely horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.Not only did they lie about their initial price, but they treated our stuff horribly and when we went to file claims they stopped responding to any correspondence at all. I would rate company a 0 if it was possible for me to do so. They must have damaged our items when they switched trucks, and who knows how many times they did that? They claimed it was going to be the same truck all the way through our trip. When we went to file our claim they made us fill out this huge worksheet and print a bunch of stuff off for them, and then when we sent it in they cut off all communication. Now there is no way to even get our stuff paid for that they carelessly broke. I can't believe this company is still getting people to spend their money with them.The delivering movers were also rude and asked us to help them! That's what we paid YOU to do. I will never again use this company and I will caution anyone against using them who asks.

This is a long review but the short summary is:1. This company is horrible, I was lied to and yelled at, and treated very rudely 2. The price was doubled on me on the day of the move3. My things were delivered very late4. Many of my things were damagedMoving with Stop and Move was the worst decision and most stressful experience ever. Please please read these reviews before you decide to hire them. Also make sure you look up reviews of ALL STAR MOVING in New Jersey-- they have horrible reviews and are the same company. I did not know this until after I signed my contract with Stop and Move, and the day of the move a truck showed up with the name All Star on it. First do not be deceived by whatever receptionist you speak to on the phone. They were very nice and accommodating, but everything they told me ended up being false. I was told that my things would arrive on a certain day and that I would be kept updated along the way. After my stuff was picked up I never heard from anyone again and it was impossible to get any information. My things arrived 2 weeks late and I was kept in a guessing game /limbo about when they would arrive. I called almost daily to get updates and was always told that someone would call me back, but they never did.  I was told that my things would not be transferred between trucks and would arrive in the same truck they were picked up in. Not only did that not happen, but I was told by the guy that delivered my things that they had actually been unloaded at least twice and had been sitting in a warehouse for a while. I spoke to Yaniv several times to get updated information on when my things would arrive since I had paid a deposit at my new apartment to reserve the elevator and move in, and my things still had not arrived 2 weeks after they were supposed to. Yaniv identified himself as a dispatcher to me, but in yelp reviews for All Star it says he is the owner. He was incredibly rude, yelled at me over the phone, screamed insults, and hung up on me. I was told by the receptionist (Rachel) that I wouldn't be charged for various things - stairs, elevator, etc. Unfortunately many of these things were verbal and not in writing, and when the move actually happened, I was charged for all of them and I was told that I was lying or that Rachel had not said that. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. On the day of the move they doubled the price and I was stuck in a bind because they already had my deposit and I needed to move. Lastly and the worst thing, MANY of my things arrived damaged. My wood desk was splintered. My dresser has a full thickness crack through it. My wood bed frame was broken in half. Coffee table with deep gouges in it. And the worst part? They lost several boxes and a nightstand. An entire piece of furniture they lost! I am in the process of filing the claim for the damages, but that process too is horrible. I have been calling for two weeks now to file the claim, and everytime I call I am told that they are busy now and someone will call me back. That has yet to happen. Please please please do not move with this company.
