888-902-8183.  This number got me to Best Movers.  They may operate under different names. Their email is sales@bestmovers.us.   This appears to be a scam.  We used them for a move in Manhattan.  It was a last minute move and we should have done a more thorough search.  We were missing several items and cash was taken from a drawer (we probably should not have left it, but we didn't think we were hiring crooks). When we followed up to inquire about missing items and money, they did not return emails, hung up and then blocked all numbers from which I called.  I followed up with their insurance and it was a scam.  The contact was a home on Staten Island and I think they were in on the scam too.  We were suspicious because during the move they claimed the price was 500 more than they quoted.   Beware of 888-902-8183 associated with any moving company.   They also used the number (201) 877-3938 out of New Jersey.  Apparently, I am not the first to report them.

SAME PHONE NUMBER but listed as BEST MOVERSI arranged a move for my boss with this same phone number - 888-902-8183 but they called themselves Best Movers - Sales@bestmovers.Us.  They did a move from Tribeca to the upper East Side.  They tried to shake me down for an additional 500 dollars in the middle of the move and then when they claimed all was complete, we were missing all kitchenware and 2,500 dollars was missing from a desk.   I spent over a week emailing and calling.  They did not reply to emails and hung up on me as soon as I gave them my boss's name.  They then had every number blocked that I called from.   They also used an insurance certificate from another company and gave the bogus name of J. Levine as the contact.  This contact was a non English speaker from Staten Island,Who first said he was J Levine, then denied it when I said who I was.  I've taken the matter to a lawyer, reported it to the AG's in the states they do business in, the corresponding Better Business Bureau and reaching out to the media.  Hopefully they will not be able to take advantage of anyone else.    Anyone arranging a move, make sure you get an onsite estimate, solid contract, and carefully go over the certificate of insurance. Buyer beware!!!!
