Moving is not just a matter of having a moving crew and a truck show up at your door one day; handle what is sentimental and valuable to you without the proper attention shown to you as a customer prior to that day. Unfortunately for the Moving Industry little change has occurred that would make those who are moving take notice and feel confident in whom they have chosen to handle their belongings. Instead they are hesitant, mistrusting, questioning their choice of a mover constantly while being afraid they will be taken advantage of and become one of the awful stories so many hear about on a daily bases. There are many problems in the way a customer is cared for by their chosen moving company. In most cases after the paperwork has been signed and the date for the move is established, the next time contact is made prior to the moving day and normally by a dispatcher who is just trying to establish his work load for the next day without any feelings or concerns for your issues. Another problem is on the day of the move, you, the customer, now find yourself in the hands of individuals who lack the skill of being able to converse with a customer. If an issue arises and you wish to speak with your sales representative, you find yourself directed to a dispatcher whose only concern is to handle the multiple moves and trucks that day; a person who is not interested in answering your questions or resolving your uncertainty. This is not a way a customer should be treated. However and unfortunately this is real life with most moving companies.

These guys were terrible to say the least. We contacted them and they gave us an estimate over the phone. A moving date was set and we reconfirmed with them THREE (3) times. They wavered back and fourth on what time the move would start and they ultimately gave us a starting time of 10:30 am-11:00 am. Not only were they not there to move by 11:00 am, but they didn't even call to give us an ETA (estimated time of arrival). WE had to call them at noon, only to be notified at 1:00 pm that they would be 3 hours late and asked if they could come the next day. With a 1 year old at home and a team of people waiting on the movers, we could not afford to wait any longer. I hired a last-minute moving company (1/2 movers) who arrived promptly. To say that they were inconsiderate and unprofessional is an understatement. I would strongly advise anyone considering these guys to find another vendor or perhaps setup an back-up moving company in the likely event that they fail to deliver on their promise. We used Personalized Moving when moving our office in Manhattan. Unfortunately for them, we had a lot more stuff to move than originally planned and they had to work to 2:00am on one of the hottest days of the year. They never complained and were complete professionals. They were extremely careful with all of our stuff. Finding a quality, commercial mover with issurance that's reasonably priced in this city isn't easy but look no further. These guys are great and I highly recommend them!

The service this moving company provides is exceptional. I have turned to them for moving help twice already, so I am a satisfied repeat client. They did well both times. First, they are extremely fast! It really is impressive to watch. Second, they were able to fit me into their packed schedule at the end of the month on a fairly short notice. I am extremely grateful for that. While we were not ready to start moving until a few minutes before the assigned freight elevator time, it was so kind of them to show up early. Third, they tend to price by the job, rather than by the hour as some snail-pace companies do. This company's quotes are reasonable and truly of great value. I called a number of companies for quotes and some were outrageous and simply not based on reality. Essentially, they helped us move furniture and boxes without sparing their energies and any extra bargaining on-site like it can happen with folks counting and measuring boxes. They are reliable and responsive, so I had little to worry about when I engaged their help. Moreover, they added value above and beyond what we initially agreed on. I absolutely would highly recommend them.

I used this company many years ago for a move and they were great -- brought an extra guy, didn't complain about my 5th floor walkup and did everything very fast.This was in direct contrast to my recent experience with them: they were rude, always complained about the stairs, send fewer guys, it took forever and subsequently cost an egregious amount. They had very poor customer service when i expressed my dissatisfaction.Additionally, they BROKE one a piece of furniture and said they would fix it and return it. It has now been 2 months, and numerous emails. I haven't heard anything back -- just simply unacceptable.DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

I get winded just walking up the stairs into a fifth floor walk-up so knew I would never be able to enlist the help of friends to move. Sal was quick to get back to me and quote the move (within Manhattan). He was easy to get a hold of, courteous, and detailed when setting up our move. I had an itemized list ready beforehand and he was able to estimate off that. On moving day, the crew showed up early and went full speed all morning. The manager (Donald) and crew were both great and finished on time. The truck was pretty large so no unnecessary extra trips.
