This company did a great job moving my son's furniture and clothing from the Upper West Side to Washington Heights. The movers were careful and were effective. They were also polite. I would definitely hire them again.

I recently moved between apartments. I was a little nervous since I've never made this kind of move before on short notice, but I was super satisfied with these guys. I had queen mattress, a giant queen sized loft bed frame, a full bed and frame, a medium sized couch, big TV and stand, a big cabinet, and a bunch of smaller items and boxes.3 guys and a big truck showed up at 8 am sharp and had all the furniture wrapped up and on the truck after an hour. I knew that would be the easy part. My new apartment was a 4 story walk up with steep narrow stairs and sharp narrow corners. I honestly wasn't sure if my loft bed frame and couch would be able to maneuver around. These guys were in beast mode and managed it somehow, and they did it fast. All-in-all, it took 3 hours from start to finish to get everything in the new apartment, undamaged.I'll definitely be looking into these guys again for future moves.

I have been using Petros and his team to move all over New York for years. They are the best in every way, price, reliability, professionalism and speed. Moving can be a nightmare but these guys take all the stress out of it and make it easy. I have recommended him to many of my friends and they have all been very happy. Don't over think it, call him, book it. I have used him 6 or 7 times and at least 5 of my friends have as well. 5 stars all around!

I had organized and confirmed a move within midtown Manhattan for my boss with Jet Moving Systems over a month in advance. They contacted me through a post I had made through billy.com asking for quotes. The Sunday evening, before the move on Monday morning, I was contacted as promised to confirm the arrival time at 5.10pm. I was then called again an hour later at 6.15pm to tell me they could not make it after all as their truck was broken down due to a snow storm 2 nights before. They did try to reschedule for the following Tuesday but this was not an option.I would not recommend this moving company as I had to spend 3 hours on a Sunday evening trying to find another moving company on such short notice for the following morning....nightmare situation....Oh, and they never replied to my email or called to follow up and apologize.The happy ending: Petros at Move -It 4 Less was able to confirm and accomodate my move that evening and had arranged for the movers to arrive first thing on Monday morning. He was in touch with me every step of the way and provided the necessary insurance papers to the management buildings before they arrived.Not only did I save $350 with this Move-It 4 Less, but they also did the move in less time than had been estimated with Jet Moving.I notice their previous reviews are less than complimentary, but in this instance they were amazing.

Very poor experience. Lots of bait and switches. 7.5 hrs to move a quarter of a mile away is unacceptableIssue 1:The week before, I had clearly requested a big truck for my move, since I wanted to get all of my stuff moved in one trip. Instead, Petros (the owner) sends a significantly smaller van on the day of the move that would require 3 trips (and take much more time). He claims that the issue is about parking, though in talking with his guys, I find out that the issue was that he just didn't want to pony up for the large truck. He tries to cover his mistake by offering to provide me 2 extra guys for a discounted rate of $15/hr per person. I find out from the movers that his cost is $10/hr for each extra person, so he not only tries to cover his mistake, he hopes to make a profit on it!About 5 hours into the job, they finally bring a larger truck in (as it finished another move early). If it was truly a parking issue from the beginning as he claimed, Petros wouldnt've brought the larger truck in. By this time, the larger truck was marginally helpful.Issue 2:I also had explicitly asked for a wardrobe box so I could move my clothes. Petros says that it'll be on the truck, no problem. When the truck comes, that box isn't on there, though Petros claims it absolutely is. We go back and forth and I verify myself that the wardrobe box isn't on there. Great... even more waste of time now.Ultimately, the operation is awful. While they were recommended to me by a colleague, I'll never consider using them again given how many times Petros promised one thing and gave me another. These baits and switches cost a lot as the move dragged on for many hours more than it should've.
