I love, love, love these guys. They were great to deal with, super patient and incredibly nice. They really went above and beyond to give me a great price and bring me my piano. You would have to be an idiot not to go with these movers. These guys are incredibly hard workers and I couldn't ask for better people in a stressful situation. Seriously, they're number one.

I found Mitchell Economy Moving via a Craigslist advertisement (longisland.craigslist.or…) when I was desperately looking for someone to help me move a bedroom's worth of furniture later that afternoon. Mitchell and Andre drove 2 hours to get to my location, packed all of my furniture into their high-roofed cargo van quickly, then unloaded it all within their two hour window. Mitchell provided helpful tips based on all of his moving experience (e.g. don't plug in the mini-fridge for a few hours after it's been moved, let the new foam mattress sit for a few hours before hopping on, etc.). They were pleasant enough, and it was a quick and simple job. It cost us $180 since we were so far away, but this price was far and away cheaper than all of the other moving companies I'd contacted. (Allied gave me a quote of $640 to move me two days after I called, I kid you not. College Hunks gave me a quote of $350.) All in all, I'd recommend these guys, especially for quick and dirty jobs. They were nice enough, got the job done quickly, and were simply much better priced than other competitors. I actually added this business on Yelp to let other people in the Stony Brook area know that these guys are an option. I know there are a lot of students around here who need this kind of moving service, and I'd recommend giving Mitchell a call before you blow hundreds of more dollars on some other company! Their business card says they service NYC, Queens, Brooklyn, and Nassau.
