I needed some help moving to NV for work reasons and my company told me to go out and get three moving estimates and submit them to HR for approval. I spoke with 3 companies got 3 written estimates as requested submitted them to HR and after careful consideration I was told my company choose MAP MY MOVE after speaking with the account manager Joseph they setup pre-payment option for me and all I had to do was get my personal items organized and that they would be doing the rest. I thought it was a pretty sweet deal I pack my unmentionables and these movers come the same day to box, pack and load all my stuff on the truck again all on the same day!? I thought they were nuts and for sure would take at least 2 days to pack but man was I wrong. 3 movers showed up 7am start (wasn't thrilled but understood) and they literally packed everything in my house from the cabinets, closets, etc into boxes within a matter of hours and had it all out and on the truck by 3:30pm! Now that is skill and experience right there. I just got delivery of items and I'm glad to say I only had 1 broken dish and 1 scratched item to the back of a chair overall I'm very happy and they submitted a claim and took pictures of everything so I should be getting a check or reimbursed within a few weeks for those 2 damaged items. Told my company they did a good job and they might even think of making them their official moving company for future moves...

I got a call from MAP to setup a in-house visual estimation of my upcoming move. They were one of about 10 other companies who called me based on the a form I filled out on the web. Any how so I spoke with Donald aka Donnie and I told him that I didn't have a lot of stuff to move and that I really didn't think him coming all the way to Queens was going to be necessary, so we agreed to do a face time walk thru of my house and I showed him everything I needed to ship out to family in Cali.  He sent me a full written contract within minutes, he put everything we discussed down and a full itemized catalog of what he saw in the video chat. I thought that was very professional and prompt. The move took place on August 5th, and my family got the items delivered on Aug 20th, which was within the 2 week window that I was told it would take. According to my cousin in San Fran everything was smooth nothing was broken and the guys helped setup everything in the bedroom for her. I wanna to give a big thanks and shout-out to everyone at MAPMYMOVE these guys are legit!

My husband and I are very upset with using this company. I convinced my husband to use the company after reading reviews and speaking with Joe we went with it. Joe had his workers come to our house on Oct 15, 2016 to pack our belongings. We had extra stuff to add onto the truck which Joe did explain we can add at anytime the price will just change. Our price went from a range of $2,000 to that day his workers added on another $2,000 which was we fine with us during this time. They did a great job packing up we tipped them $200. When we signed the receipt his worker asked us what day would we like our belongings delivered. We informed him that I told already in October 25, 2016 because Joe told me it will take up 7days to get our belongings so if you give a date ahead of time you will have it on that date. I called Joe on Oct 7, 2016 to tell him we would like all of our things on Oct 25, 2016 and it was stated on the contract. Both Joe and worker said that would be fine and Joe said if not that day the latest would be Oct 26, 2016 that it would be there. On Oct 25, 2016 at 8:30am I called the company Joe uses to store and deliver our belongings called Experience Movers to confirm what time they would be here today. Spoke with a representative name Julie who said Oh I was just getting ready to call you. She told me they are taking our things out of storage now and putting it on the truck to be delivered. I inquired why is being put on the truck when it was stated to be delivered today. She said that  date stated on the contract is an estimate date not guaranteed. She said you was misinformed, so I asked would it be here on Oct 26, 2016. She stated that it should be here the earliest the 26th depending on the driver or the 27th the latest. I explained to her that I'm 6mnths high risk pregnancy currently sleeping on the floor because this company has our beds. She said she is going to inform the drivers and see what she can do. My husband called Joe to see what he can do Joe stated he is going to reach out to them to see what is going on but it all depends on the driver. Joe stated that are going to have the driver move as fast as he can. U understood because he is driving alot of hours from NY to GA thinking it should be here by late Oct 26, 2016. We never received a call or our things on Oct 27, 2016. On Oct 27, 2016 I called back spoke to Julie, she told me she is not sure on what time they would be arriving today and provider me the driver of the truck number named Armando stating to give him a call to see. I then called Armando who informed me that he would not be to us until Friday, Oct 28, 2016 because he had to drop someone things to Tennessee first before coming to us. By this time I was disturbed and scared because I did not think I would get any of my items. I called Julie back from Experience Movers she stated yes the truck has 3 different ppl belongings on it and that is the route on the driver chose to do. So I asked can I speak with a Supervisor because this is ridiculous how I'm being misinformed each day to see what they can do. She told me she is going to speak with the supervisor and have someone call me back. Two hours went by never received a call back I tried to call her back she never answered. My husband reached out to Joe, he seemed upset and asked my husband why would they be going to Tennessee with your things then coming to you Tennessee is after Georgia and he left from New York. Joe stated that he was going to call the company and discuss how Julie has not gotten back to us and have someone call us back from the company and he would call us back. We waited another two hours no one called us back. My husband tried Joe back three times and left a message with his number never received a call back. I called Joe left a message he called my phone back around 2:30pm saying my husband name and how I got your message. I explained to Joe that this.is not my husband phone he left his number for you to call him and I left mine as well. I spoke to Joe explaining that I'm still sleeping on the floor for the past four days now, one night was fine but this is crazy I'm having pains in my back and I need to know that my stuff will be delivered today. Joe then spoke with my husband said he is going to call us back and make sure our stuff is delivered tonight because they can delivered up until 8pm tonight. Ask me what happened Joe never called us back, never answered our phone nor Julie or the company. So that day we did not receive our things. There is more but it's too long what I have to post to finish what happened on two of our boxes missing.

So this isn't my first rodeo when it comes to moving, I knew what to look for and what not to look for when choosing a moving company. I knew better than to put my name on any type of forms or lists out there on the web so I wouldn't be bombarded with calls or emails like in the past. This time I relied on google and yelp searches and a few friends. After calling around and some quotes I spoke with a few friends who recently had to use movers and they gave me Joe's number from MapMyMove. I felt since my friends recommended him I felt would be my top choice but I wanted to hear him out first see if he was the real deal, and when I say real I mean spoke well, sounded like he knew what he was talking about had the answers to all my questions before I even asked and of course spoke English so I could at least understand him! And I'm here to say that guy is Joe with MapMyMove, he was the guy who made me feel like I could really trust in what he was saying and not only did he say everything I wanted to hear from the company I was going to use but he backed it up both in writing and on the day of the move. Everything was exactly how he describe it to me. No games, no bait n switches just a straight price for a simple move. I'd suggest him to anyone and I will def be calling him direct for my next move in 2 years!
