It's switch-and-bait at the moving level. I was initially quoted $300 for moving items from my garage to another garage. The movers arrived, starting smoking on my driveway, and ignored me as I asked them to put their cigarettes as my family was around. They looked at the items to move, and elaborated on how difficult it would be to move a sofa, desk, refrigerator. Despite there being 3 of them, and moving being their job, they spent 30 minutes without lifting a figure. They raised the price to $500 and I agreed. But after lifting one item, they started asking how much tip would be. Another 10 minutes go by, with them complaining about how they're not "beggars" and I ultimately was done with them.

I was initially quoted $350 for moving my entire house. I was a bit surprised because other companies had quoted me $800-950 but I thought I would give them a try since they had a 5 star review and David mentioned they also wrap furnitures. When he showed up, he was not curteous and did not greet anyone in the house. Instead, he walked in surveying my house as if I had lied to him regarding the pieces I mentioned I wanted to move. He rudely said "this won't work...too much furniture, $350 too little." He told my husband if we wanted to move everything (which I originally already mentioned to him piece by piece), it would take him two trips and would end up costing me a total of $800! I don't mind having to pay that amount since others had quoted me the same price but I don't enjoy being scammed. He also did not wrap furniture as he promised and scratched a few of my leather pieces and scratched up the new floors in my new house.

Horrible experience! They came to my home to look at my furniture and stuff to give me an estimate. Two days later they called to inform me that the estimate stands, but there is a surcharge for liability insurance so it is an additional $200. Being that no other insured movers were charging a similar fee, he brought that surcharge down to $100. The price was still competitive so we went along with it. The day of the move we were expecting 4 movers at 8am. 3 movers arrived at 10:30 am. They didn't finish loading the truck til 4:30 pm. The coop I was moving to prohibits moving past 4pm. I asked them if they could return the next day to empty to truck so as to avoid a $1500 penalty from the coop. They said that wasn't their problem and clearly said they didn't care if I had to pay more. After speaking with the doorman they changed their tune and agreed to come back and finish the move the next day. They ended up charging us extra for the second day of work, $300 more than our agreed estimate. AND I am missing several pieces of furniture. I am missing a coffe table, a shoe rack, and two shelves. Besides missing furniture, my wood tv unit is scratched up and damaged. I called them to talk about the missing pieces, and damaged piece. They said their insurance doesn't cover anything, and that they don't do partial refunds as compensation. DO NOT TAKE ANY CHANCES with this company. I ended up filing a police report for the stolen furniture.

I was moving within Flushing with not much furniture - sofa, single bed, table 4 chairs. Initially i was quoted $150 which was the lowest among 3-4 movers that i had enquired with. However due to my own lack of planning i had piled up 4-5 small/medium boxes of stuff, microwave, two small trolleys etc. I was just charged about 50 more. They (3 people) came around 9.15 (though i had mentioned for 10.15), wrapped sofa with plastic cover and were out of my old apartment in about 20 mins or so which included dismantling single bed for moving. I was in the new apartment by 10.15 with the bed assembled again.They seemed quite courteous and didn't bother to check how much i paid, though i had tipped $20 for each of them.Overall the move was less stressful than i thought. I did the packing upfront on the boxes. I would recommend them and maybe try them again if i've to move.Only catch: Speaking English could be a barrier with them as they themselves acknowledged, however they could understand the instructions i gave them.
