We maintain a small staff of skilled movers that are good communicators, and that are all well-experienced in the nuances of the job: packing boxes, wrapping/prepping furniture, loading dollies, running stairs, packing the truck, tight doorways/stairwells and bulky objects, strict building-management moving restrictions, parking hassles, and (how to dodge) traffic jams (when possible). We have a moving license issued by the NYSDOT (T-38073), and as required by their regulations we carry substantial liability and motor cargo insurance. History

Established in 2010. This organization was started by two old friends who share a vision for a better moving business, founded upon trust, respect and years of experience. Owner Ed Hourigan was a key player for 6 years in another top-rated moving company here on Yelp. Now, we're going out on our own, and we're taking a careful selection of our crew with us.

Travis and his team were professional, friendly, patient and efficient. I felt really comfortable with them right away. They showed up on time and got to work. This was a 5th floor walk up move and my furniture was going to Pennsylvania. They worked quickly and carefully. Everything was handled with great care and on the delivery side they worked with my parents to ensure everything was placed/reassembled correctly. My mom said they were "nice young men." :) I was really pleased about such a stress-free and pleasant moving experience! I would definitely use this company again and I highly recommend them.

Wes and his team were excellent. We recently moved from NJ to Queens. The day of the move they showed up on time and got right to business. They worked together like a well oiled machine. Everything was handled with care and arrived in the condition they found it in. We were very pleased with "Get There Moving". GTM were superb. We were moving from a rental to our first time buyers apartment and the exact moving date only emerged with a few days notice but GTM fitted us in. We were on a tight timetable due to the building we were leaving having limited timeframes. GTM are really fast at safely and securely packaging the larger items we had that we couldn't pack ourselves in advance and getting our crates into their truck and up the stairs of our walk up but throughout I was confident that our stuff was going to make it without breakages- they really do treat it with care as though it was theirs. They charged an hourly rate and I felt it was really good value for the service as they do their work very quickly but with great care. They got the whole thing done much faster than I'd have though possible, but again with real care.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use them again.

Moving with GTM is one of the best decisions I have ever made. These guys are super punctual, professional, and friendly. They simply made moving, the most chaotic process in my mind, into a zen practice. This is definitely a 10 star experience. Even though they are nearly perfect, I still have a small suggestion - maybe these guys can be equipped with the abrasive gloves rather than moving with bare hands. Although they have been super fast already, the gloves can truly bring them some protections on the hands.
