DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR STUFF OR YOUR MONEY AGAIN. I tried to use them to move from San Diego to Boston, and after 9 weeks of trying to get pictures of my stuff- an address of where it was at, spending hours every day on the phone trying to get a hold of someone to hear yet another lie. We drove up to a self storage facility and got our shipment and used a real compant.These people are scammers, run away from them. We can work together to shut them down and for them to be stopped all togetherPS we are still waiting for a refund from them

Trying to get a hold of their company in Los Angeles for a refund of a non-move and delay of contract. Cannot get a return phone call. The number listed here does not go through. Terrible customer service.

Have a remaining unresolved problem with Five Star Relocation or the moving broker who set you up with them? File a complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration online at nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov or 1-888-368-7238.  Next review the carrier/broker on the Better Business Bureau in their local area to let others know of their experience. You may not get your goods or money back but you'll help others in making their decision about who to hire. Moving fraud has become a heartless industry and must be stopped.

Five Star Relocation (480 Bergen Blvd., Ridgefield, NJ 07657;  fivestarrelocation.net) is one of the worst moving services I have dealt with in the tri-state area over the last 12 years that I have lived here and have used 5 moving companies. When potential customers use online quotes, these guys flaunt their BBB "A" rating to get customers to sign up with them. But on the day of the move, or days before it, they know that you are locked in to their service and trap you by raising the price or making their estimate the minimum price. This happened to me despite my cautiousness and having spelled out everything over email with their sales person Nikki. Simply put, they said there is no minimum charge for the move and it will be done on a time and materials basis. Therefore I didn't give a lot of attention to the number of hours on the estimate. On the day of the move, they told me that the estimate is binding is in fact the minimum charge. Nikki, the sales rep on email and on the phone, and the owner, Juan Rivera, do the bait and switch on the last minute to take advantage of the customer's lack of options at the last minute. They also use to their advantage an "A" rating on BBB (a nonprofit service which has no teeth to do anything) to bait customers searching for movers online. Please beware of Five Star Relocation. Also, it looks like Yelp removes reviews from legitimate parties. This is the second time I am posting.

Five Star Relocation was the moving company selected by the broker I chose, Budget. If I was informed by Budget that this would be the moving company responsible for my move,  the deal would have never gone through. After being told by Budget and Five Star that the move across country would only take 7-10 days, I began to call Five Star after those days had past. Each week I was told that my delivery would arrive at the end of that week. Each week my items never arrived. It wasn't until a month had past that I finally received my goods. When the driver came to deliver the items, I was informed they weighed over what was quoted--resulting in additional fees. I would not have had any problem paying the overage, if proof of the weight were provided (weight receipts). Considering this to be one of the most important pieces of documentation for the driver to carry, I thought for sure he would have this on him. He did not. We placed calls to Five Star requesting the receipts be emailed so the driver can begin to unload. Granted, I could have gone to the weigh station for a reweigh, but in the essence of time (and the strong desire to be reunited with my items again), I decided to allow for the receipts to be emailed. The weigh receipts they provided to me were completely illegible. When I tried to call the weigh station that is listed on the receipt, I received an "Out of Service" number (fraud??).After waiting a month for all my possessions and clothing, I felt I had no choice but to pay the additional fees so I can regain ownership of my items (extortion??). Add to that they lost items of mine that held significant value. Add to that this company has been cited as an unlicensed mover in the state of New Jersey, I would definitely say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
