do not use this company! all of my furniture was damaged! They also showed up really late at night.... And where there till after midnight... I live in a townhouse, close quarters with other people in the community. Who shows up at late at night to move in furniture. Very disrespectful. When we called and said this is something you might have to do tommorow morning because of the noise and how late it is, they said " You will have to pay for our hotel".. no you shouldn't be showing up that late.... Communication was awful. From the day of pick up to the day of delivery there was no communication. Now that I am upset that everything is broken, no one will contact me back. I cannot get a hold of anyone. Let's not forget that when they pick your items up they then unload the items in a factory then reload them with a third party company and when those people arrive they have no idea about anything. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO ACTUALLY HAVE YOUR FURNITURE IN THE CONDITION IT WAS IN WHEN YOU LAST SAW IT. I WILL TELL YOU NOW EVERYTHING WILL BE DAMAGED. THEY JUST DO NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR BELONGINGS. IT LOOKS LIKE IT FELL OUT OF THE TRUCK AND THEY WENT BACK TO GET IT AND RAN ALL OF IT OVER. TRUST ME. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY.

PLEASE BEWARE! Worst moving experience EVER! Not only did they arrive two weeks later than expected, but they couldn't locate my things for more than a week. I was hit with extra expenses and they broke and lost items. The company used a third party shipper to deliver my items whom specifically said they aren't responsible for damages. The movers blew up my bathroom and then said take it up the issues with Crown Moving. The customer service was horrendous. This company doesn't deserve to be in the moving business. If I could give 0 Stars I would!!

This has been one of the most unsatisfying experiences ever. Starting off everything was amazing from Gerry the salesman. His communication by phone and email was amazing and timely. He provided me a quote $1000 less than any other moving company at $2000 from CT to IL and gave me some awesome discounts. Once I signed that initial agreement and gave him the deposit....all communication stopped and I was left to harass the secretary, Monique in order to get any communication from this company. 1 day before move- Monique calls me to tell me they are running behind and will not be picking my things up on the day of the move. I did not give them a option to change that and they made "adjustments" to be there on the original scheduled day. I was given a ETA between 10am-12pm from Monique, 2 seconds later a rep called me to tell me 12pm-3pm...ummm what? Then apologized and said "oh yes it's between 10am-12pm." Moving Day - movers arrive on time but claimed they had "no idea" that they were going up/down 4 flights of stairs. If they looked at the inventory and quote list they had in front of them, they can clearly see I paid a discounted rate for 3 flights and 1 flight was free. Also, my apartment number is 4A....clue number 2!? Not sure where the confusion came in but clearly no one was paying attention. Movers come up to my apt and tell me they will not move my items without me paying another $300 for the stairs, and all the packing materials- tape, TV cases, marble top cases etc. Mind you, Gerry gave me the 1st TV case free and a discount for stairs but the movers did not care and charged me anyways. In my inventory list it states 3 tables with marble tops, and 2 TVs, why wouldn't someone have told me prior to pickup that I would need to pay additional fees for those items after I repeatedly asked Gerry if he could provide me with any info that would cost additional several times. After all is said and done the $2000 quote turned into over $4000!!! Yup...you are seeing it right. I emailed Gerry but never received any response. In addition, the initial quote paperwork states a move up to a specific mileage takes up to 6 business days for delivery. The movers laughed at me when the arrived and told me there was no way that would happen and it would probably take up to 21 business days. 7 days later- No communication at all from anyone at Crown Moving Group. I called repeatedly until I spoke to Monique because Gerry continued to ignore my emails. Monique could not give me a ETA for arrival and said she would call me back...by never called back. I emailed Monique the next day and she finally called to tell me my furniture left the warehouse last night and they are coming directly to me. Great!!! When will they arrive....she had no idea and said movers would be in contact. 2 days later at 3pm, I get a text from movers that they will be arriving that night between 8pm-8:30pm.....who does that? I live in a townhouse and a HOA....plus why the heck would I want to sit up at 8pm waiting for you to arrive? The movers did not arrive until 10:30pm!!!! Furniture arrived broken and severely damaged. Basically....if it sounds to good to be true...don't do it! I still have not received a response from Gerry and will be filing claims against them.

The written estimate I received said it was a "binding, not to exceed" the amount agreed to on the written estimate. However, on the day of the move, the movers were extremely late and wanted to renegotiate every aspect of the binding estimate. The only mover that spoke good english was very argumentative and unprofessional. When I didn't agree to their proposed substantial increase in costs, the movers left and placed me in a tremendous bind, as I had to contract with another company to do my long distance move. To make matters worst, the office manager, Monique, appears to be avoiding my calls. I am merely trying to get a refund of the deposit I provided for a move that didn't happen for reasons beyond my control. I definitely wouldn't recommend this company!

WARNING! Do not Hire these guys!!Estimate will always INCREASE from the first day you put down a deposit until day of PICK-UP. They STORE everything in a Warehouse, you will not see your things for another 30 Days!!! Bad customer service, they don't return emails or phone calls. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT HIRING THIS COMPANY!!!! STILL waiting for my things, Day 31. Defiantly filing a Claim. If you are dealing with Gerry and Monique you are in TROUBLE.((NOTICE THE FAKE REVIEWS ABOVE ALL OF OURS AFTER THE FACT)) Damage Control...Filed a Complaint with BBB. Took 31 Days for my things to arrive, furniture is filthy, scratched and cracked and my kitchen table frame is missing! All of my things smell of Weed. Watching the movers take my things off the truck was gut wrenching. They were handing me other people's belongings, everyone's things were piled up on each other... What A Mess! Filed a complaint.
