Just a terrible experience.  Just as the other reviewers said, these movers are responsive until after they get your money.  Then they go into radio silence, would not return calls, voicemails, etc.  By the way the amount they actually charged was three times their initial estimate.  Also they swiped my computer (in fact, using my icloud locator, I found out that they were actually using my computer).  Of course, several big ticket items never arrived.We got our stuff 61 days after they packed our things.  Really.

Worst experience ever.They were responsive....right up until the point your mone was collected. After that it was a month of hell as they double charged me (claiming the original contract was a "binding estimate" and didn't apply), arrived 7 hours late to come pick up my stuff, and then went more or less radio silent for three weeks as I panicked and screamed into unanswered voicemails about where the hell my stuff was. Turns out it was incorrectly delivered to some warehouse NEAR my home and I had to a) pay for the storage and b)hire a second moving company to finally deliver my things. Boxes were missing, looked like they had sat out in the rain for an hour, and I am turning to this review only after many tears. Don't ever hire these guys, no matter what their quoted price is - you're not getting a deal, trust me, you're getting screwed.

This company made our move from NY to AZ a living hell! We went with them because of their great estimate price which if course ended up doubling after they packed everything in the truck. They told us our stuff would arrive in AZ in 7-10 days, so we only packed enough for ourselves and our 4 small children for about 2 weeks. We went over 2 months without our stuff! We had to get the dept of transportation involved and thank God we did! The company contracted our stuff to an unlicensed uninsured truck driver who ended up getting arrested here in AZ. Some of our boxes ended up in GA randomly. I could go on and on about the horrible experience we had! Please, please do not use this company! I know they are getting fined heavily from our move so hopefully that'll shut them down!

I have never wanted to write a review more in my entire life. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Rude, AWFUL ability to respond, unprofessional, yelled at me then got mad at me when I yelled back, could not commit to a time or a date when delivery was expected, got mad at me when I emailed (repeatedly) to get the final balance per the mover's instruction when all of our stuff was being packed. Hung up on me and refused to work with me on a defined time frame. Three of our items never arrived - leather chair, television, brand new full size mattress and box spring. Even more of our items were damaged as if they had been dragged across gravel for a mile - holes in our couch, the corners on our bookshelves and other items look like someone sanded them off. The worst part of this experience was their unprofessional, inability to respond and insisting that despite the fact that they responded either late or after the fact that that was an acceptable way to handle their business.I am still waiting to find out where the rest of our missing items are, if they will ever arrive.

Run don't walk away from this company.  I feel for the previous reviewers.  We selected a furniture mover; New England Movers via billy.com.  Their agent Karen Gorman contacted us with a quote through email and phone.  The quote was for $1,338.79 and delivery would be 3-5 business days.  The movers were scheduled to show up on June 10th between 8-9 am but did not arrive.   I called Ms. Gorman to find out what had happened and she informed me that the truck had broken down and they needed to send another one.  They did not arrive until the afternoon of June 12th at which time they told us it would now cost $2,800.  Ms.  Gorman told me not to worry and that she is the owner of New England Movers and will straighten it out later.  On 6/21 I called Ms. Gorman again and she told me that everything is fine and not to call over to the New England Movers office since there was a death in the family and nobody was in.  I got suspicious and called anyway.  I quickly discovered that Ms. Gorman no longer worked there, is not the owner and they did not make the pick-up of my things.  They were scheduled but it was cancelled.  I explained what had happened and the office manager told me that Ms. Gorman had called him asking to receive her commission for my move but they would not pay it since she was no longer employed there.  New England Movers best guess is that Ms. Gorman cancelled the job and gave it to her new employer, Best Choice Movers.  On 6/25 I received a call from Best Choice Movers (Chris Jenkins) that the truck rolled 3 times and the driver was critically injured in Dennis, MASS.  I asked Mr. Jenkins why it took 4 days to call me and he said that they needed time to sort things out and that this incident may put the company out of business.  I called the Massachusetts State Police and he did confirm there was an accident but the truck did not roll and no injuries occurred.  It is now 30 days later and we still do not have an estimated time of arrival of my belongings.  Once and if Best Choice Movers pay the towing company approximately $20,000 for towing service, road repair and storage we will be able to get our processions back.  At that time we do not want this company to touch any of our stuff and I will fly up to New England, rent a U-Haul and move it down myself.  Best Choice Movers is not returning phone calls and told us it is out of their hands and we have to deal with the Towing company now.
