Action Moving Company

DO NOT use this crooked man (Action Moving) SACKMAN ST, BROOKLYN, he removed all of our personal stuff from our home, then decided we weren't paying him enough money. Held our stuff hostage and when we said no more money, he took it upon his self to DUMP, yes I said DUMPED our stuff in a storage facility and so much of our furniture was brokened. It's on!

We booked a storage unit at Storage Mart in Williamsburg and they threw in a free move with Action Moving Company - 2 hours and a driver. In addition to that we paid for 2 movers. Initially I wasn't sure if they would come through because they weren't great phone communicators, but I'm really glad we stuck with them. We had them make 2 stops, the first one just to pick up a couch in the East Village, and the second to pick up a whole bunch of boxes and a few pieces of furniture in Greenpoint.The driver (who seemed to be the boss of the company) was friendly and it was good to have a full time driver who could watch the stuff in the truck / move it if necessary for passing traffic while the movers were occupied. Because we had them make two stops, I was worried they would take their time on the drive from the first stop to the second stop to make easy money, but they didn't - they let me ride in the truck with them and took the shortest route and drove quickly.The moving guys worked quickly and efficiently -- where they could carry two boxes rather than one they always did, and they knew how to load the truck so that the big items could come off first when we reached the storage place. When we got to the storage unit, the movers helped us stack items up high to maximize the use of the space. We got a rather large move completed in 3 hours flat. Have been cheated by movers before who took their time moving things to drag out the time needed. Will use this company for our next move.

The service was recommended by StorageMart in BK - if you use Action Movers, the driver and truck is free and you can pay for labor.I moved from a 4th floor walkup to storage unit. One of the two guys showed up on drugs/coming off of a high and smelling awful.  The other one was old and creepy.  They did hustle to get it done in under 2 hours barely but had I not been on them and pulling my own weight it probably would have taken all day.  To my knowledge they did not break or steal anything.  But the older one had the nerve to tell me to not tip the other guy AND ask for my number at the end.  So gross, would not recommend!

This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. The movers were sloppy and lazy and broke/damaged three pieces of furniture. They waited around and wasted time if someone wasn't on them so that pay would cost more, and one of them had the nerve to come up behind me and grab me, thrusting his face in my neck, when my boyfriend was busy doing HIS job of moving furniture! Now their boss lady has called me to ask if I'll wait around for her workers to pick up a hand truck they left behind when I have so much else to do today. Like I'd give that thug another opportunity to SEXUALLY HARASS me!
