NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!Scheduled a move with them 4 weeks in advance, paid a $100 deposit as confirmation and called the week before to confirm.  I was told everything was all set.On the day of my move, the movers were due to arrive between 9am-10am.  A little after 10am, I called their office (where the owner Bob answers the phone) and said I was checking in for an ETA.  He replied with, "oh....ummmm....yeah...I screwed up."He then proceeded to tell me that he didn't have his "book" (apparently the only place he keeps track of scheduled moves) so he screwed up and "forgot" about my move.  WHAT?!? Even though I had called TWiCE to confirm - he's FORGOTTEN about it.  I told him that I HAD to be out of my former bldg that day, had taken off of work to move (as had my boyfriend to help me), had 2 cats that HAD to be taken to the new apartment in the next hour as I hadn't fed them since they were getting in the car.  He just kept saying, "yeah. Sorry." He then told me he'd have to call me back.15 minutes later, we called him instead.  He said that his workers were all on another job (how did they know about THAT job if this "book" was missing??) and they couldn't get to me before 4pm.  I told him that was unacceptable, that I''d be missing an entire day of work for nothing AND that my old bldg didn't allow moves to go past 4pm.My boyfriend got on the phone with him and demanded that someone come by 2pm at the VERY latest.  He reminded him (the owner) that he had taken $100 deposit from me to HOLD this day and time and somehow him saying "sorry" was supposed to make up for this.He said he'd call us back again.  When he called back an hour later Bob said that he was going to "EXTEND" himself to "HELP" me (ummm...I'm sorry - is this not your JOB?? The job that I've already paid $100 to guarantee you'll do???) and he was going to rent a truck and get some guys and be there at 1pm.  He then said in an extremely condescending tone "Ok? Is that ok? I'm trying to help you." I told him that was fine but due to it meaning we'd still be 5 hours after the original time we'd agreed upon that he should give me a discount on the price or offer a flat rate.  He FLIPPED OUT (is honestly a horrendous businessman) and said that he just couldn't work with me and wasn't coming at all.  Reminder: EVERYTHING I OWNED was packed.  I HAD to be out of my bldg THAT day.  I had taken off of work to move.I started yelling at him that he couldn't suddenly NOT come.  I had paid him $100 already. He said he'd just refund that and kept saying "I don't understand you. I'm trying to HELP you and work with you and I can't work with you."  The ONLY way he wouldn't cancel was if I agreed to the original price.  I was in a desperate situation and didn't have a choice.  I found this entire thing to be completely unfair and horrible business practice.  He SCREWED UP (admittedly) and FORGOT about my SCHEDULED move and wasn't going to compensate us AT ALL for losing an entire day?!?!They finally arrived at 2pm.  The move was the slowest process that I've ever witnessed.  I was apparently paying for 3 guys - yet only ONE ever set foot in my apartment (on BOTH ENDS).  One (BOB HIMSELF) stayed at the truck the entire time.  Needless to say the move took 5 hours (from a STUDIO apartment in an ELEVATOR bldg.) Yet I moved INTO that apartment 7 years ago from further away in less time.  (With COMPETENT MOVERS clearly.) At the end of the 5 hours, the mover who was the only one to come into the apartment told me that price was $800.  I had been quoted $498 for the first 3 hours, $121 each add'l hour.  $800?!?!?  I told him that didn't seem right and he showed me all his math.  We then asked to talk to Bob again and he called him on his phone and tried to hand us the phone.  My boyfriend said that if he was downstairs, he needed to come up and speak to us face to face.  The man is CLEARLY a coward. He'll threaten to cancel on me over the phone but can't walk up here to speak to me face to face?!?When he finally came up, we said that we didn't expect the $800 and didn't see why it took 5 hours.  He said we agreed on this price and there was nothing else to say.  Started yelling and getting loud and aggressive again.  I said that it didn't make any sense to me that it took 5 hours.  He started yelling "what? you think we didn't work hard enough?" Ummm...yes, Bob, that's EXACTLY what I think considering you NEVER LEFT THE TRUCK!!We reminded him that the move started 5 HOURS LATER than originally booked and suggested that he might want to compensate us for the time we lost.  He said that was ridiculous and that it didn't matter.  Then he said that he had already discounted us b/c he usually charged $60 to come to Jersey. (I have the original estimate and there was NO mention of this.) All in all, it was a horrendous experience and he is the WORST business person I've ever met. BOYCOTT!!!!!

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! "bob" is shady! i used these guys on the recommend of my co-worker.  I was in desperate need of movers so i called them.  "bob" was nice when we originally spoke and happily took my credit card number for the deposit.  I should have known he was running a shady operation when he said he 'doesnt waste time on forms unless i give him the deposit'.  I gave him my credit card number  for the $100 deposit and he said he would draw up forms and email...I never received anything from him.I called the next day... and he didnt remember talking to me and I basically had to re-cap our previous conversation.. repeat my email/phone number/date I wanted to move.. it was like he only remembered 1/2 of the previous conversation. He was extremely rude and said he needed my email/phone (again) and that we would send me a confirmation later that day. Next day... NOTHING. I wanted a confirmation of the details of the move to schedule the move from my old bldg to new bldg bec I needed to show a certificate of insurance and schedule a date for both bldgs. He said he was out of the office and would send something the next day. Finally I called to cancel after not receiving anything in writing from (he already billed my card). He yelled at me and told me that we cannot cancel just bec I dont have an email from him and that I just called to argue with him bec i am "that type that like argues with people" and I just wanted to cause problems.  I ended up saying 'forget it.. keep $100, im done with you," Day before the move at the end of the day... I get the email I've been waiting for as if the previous conversation never happened. I responded saying I will not be needing his services. He did include in the email that he turned away another job because of my move... I should have known from the beginning. These guys have competitive prices but really unprofessional and rude and not worth the hassle.

I was using this company for years (3 moves, a storage space). Everythng was fine until this year. Bob, the owner, is an unfortunate character who should probably receive medication, or maybe not take so much because about a year ago he became impossible and their whole shop has suffered as a result. He stood us up three times to transport things to our storage, and then would not give me access to my space. I don't know, but I'm looking into whether that is legal or not because I don't think it is. Anyway, if it wasn't for Bob the company would be fine. He needs to lay off the pipe!
