Bill Frank or William whatever he chooses to call himself is a pathetic excuse for a human being. After being two hours late to pick me up I request to ride in the cab since I don't trust them after the constant contact that they would be there in 15. It became very obvious why DUDE IS A COMPLETE FUCK UP. He had a "quick job no more than 20 minutes" right up the street from me but because he cant enter the right address in to the GPS it takes us 20 minutes to get there. My patience had already worn thin as I had wasted the better part of an afternoon waiting for them to show only to have him proceed to yet another "quick job." I object saying that I was paying for my things to be delivered in a timely manner and his response was that I had no say as to how he ran his business. This turns nasty...he claims that he will dump my things on the curb only 5 blocks from where I was trying to move from and that he was doing me a FAVOR. Funny how illogical it seems that a favor could be considered as running a business. SOO luckily for me this idiot gets pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt and making an illegal turn. I sit in the cab enjoying his crap excuse to the police so we can proceed to his next address. Needless to say it took another hour for the "quick pickup" to be over. Then before we even get on the Queensboro bridge he threatens me again with dumping my stuff on the curb if I don't pay him before we get on the bridge. I don't see how Manhattan Mini Movers can be considered a business in the least. OH and the two guys working for him, I had to light a fire under their asses and start moving my belongings myself since they couldn't be motivated by getting paid.

Sorry to see that so many people had negative experiences with Bill and the Mini Movers, but I have nothing but good things to say.First, they were recommended by a good friend, who vouched for Bill and his guys. She said they were "efficient" and "professional" and that she was "very happy with their work." Second, I shopped around for about 2 months, looking for movers to help us move our 2 bedroom apartment in Astoria to another 2 bedroom apartment in Astoria. Everyone quoted us at ridiculous prices from $600-$1200 to move less than 10 blocks. Once I called Bill, he provided us with a very reasonable quote (substantially less than $600 for 3 guys, 1 truck and 3 hours).Third, our current landlord kept delaying our move in date, so we had to change the move date many times (3x I believe). Bill was professional and understanding of our schedule changes. He was also willing to work with us when we finally had a date down but could not give him a specific time. Ultimately, we went with 5pm-8pm on a Saturday, and they were able to do the move in for that time.Fourth, they were punctual (showed up at 4:50pm), efficient (2 guys moved things, 1 guy stayed on the truck and organized), and professional (it was a very hot day in June and they stayed in good spirits). By the time 8pm came, they were done and on their way. I tipped extra for the good work. All in all, I had a very good experience with Bill and the Mini Movers. The only negative thing I have to say is that they may charge you a little extra if you underestimate the amount of things that you need moved. I forgot to mention a table and had about 2x the amount of boxes - they charged us an extra $50, which I completely understand and can't be too mad about.

Nightmare. I thought it was bad when the movers took my stuff on a 90 minute detour to drop off someone else's furniture, but it got so much worse. The movers damaged my furniture during the move, and the owner (Bill) physically assaulted me as he wrestled my belongings from me and drove off with them in an attempt to extort a higher price. Do not use!

I hired NYC Mini Movers to help my daughter move from the city out to Brooklyn. They were excellent at communicating with me right up to the end. They showed up on time, and the move went quickly with 3 men. I would absolutely use them again!

You'd do better dragging your belongings along the sidewalk by your teeth.95% sure this is a scam operation, and if it's not, the owner is simply bipolar/has amnesia/has anger management issues. First use: Charged extra for a specific move time, and when I said "you came too early and we're not ready" the ever lovely Bill said "we'll just come late next time."Unfortunately, I was unwise enough to allow there to be a next time, and that time we had a very clear and strict schedule which he had explicitly agreed to. When he showed up an hour late, he tried to upcharge us from the price we had negotiated for a timely arrival, and pushed us (physically, and we're two very small women) away from his truck and drove off with all our belongings when we attempted to explain that we couldn't pay him for a job he was unable to complete. Strangers approached us on the street to ask if we were okay.We were on the verge of calling the police, but eventually he came back and gave us our belongings for the original negotiated price, and he seemed to have forgotten the price he had attempted to charge us earlier. He was still demanding that he be paid before he delivered our goods, and I believe that if we had not held strong on that front, he would have taken the money without giving us our things. Regardless, my company is forced to call the Better Business Bureau. I'm sure if our belongings had been of any value, he would have taken and resold them, as other reviews seem to believe happened.
