Do not use! Guy quoted me $1750 to move my elderly mother's studio apartment from NC to MS. Quote was similar to other companies. But he said they are the actual moving company, not a broker. This was a lie.
When movers showed up they said I had more than double the cubic meter quoted and the price to move was more than double what was quoted. I refused. The price kept getting lower as a kept refusing. I eventually settled on a price $600 more than quoted, but I was so frustrated after hours of back and forth. The move happened on the next day.
Also, they require the 1/3 payment to be made in cash, venmo, or with a blank money order. On delivery, they would only accept cash or a post office money order. My bank money order was refused.
At delivery, which was 8 days later (I was told we would have the load in 2-3 days) the driver was also the only person to unload the truck. There was no lift on the truck.
There were damages to an antique bed and vanity. Rock Movers said to call the claims department which was a number to the movers. The person told me to text him pictures of the damages and he would send me the website to file the claim. After several messages to him, he never responded.

DO NOT USE!!! they are robbers and scammers. I got my name on a list for a free quote, and they called me. I asked for the name and location of the company so I can look them up on google. they said they are rock movers from clearwater Florida, but they also have a location in Jersey City, NJ. I believed them, and because rock movers from Florida has a solid 4.9 rating, I hired them. after going over everything I had and sending them pictures of my stuff, they quoted me a price of ten thousand three hundred dollars. I spent about two hours with them on the phone to go through everything. they showed up with 2 rented trucks and claimed that I had 2800 cubic ft. when in fact I had about 1900. they hiked up the price by almost 5000 dollars and were still angry when I refused to let them move my stuff and threatened to keep my deposit. it took me 3 hours to get them to leave. meanwhile I hired a different company to do the move, and after the whole thing, I realized what liars they are, that they are not ashamed to use somebody else's good name and record to make themselves look good. they are not rock movers from clearwater Florida, as they claimed. rock movers from Florida does not do out of state moves and they certainly don't have a hub in NJ. this is a company that probably doesn't even own a truck, they have no good record to call on so they commit identity theft and claim to be someone else. they are still holding on to my deposit of almost 3500 dollars, 3 weeks later. STAY AWAY, DO NOT USE!
