Smoooth Moving Movers

These guys are amazing.  I moved locally with them a year and a half ago and recommended them to a friend who used them twice.  I was with that friend during both those moves.  I can say that for 3 out of 3 moves, these guys were just great.  First, they came on short notice, which is really nice.  (I originally called them because other movers just never showed up!)  They have a pickup truck for small moves and a huge truck for larger moves.  They are speedy and careful with your things, and they are a good value.  They even let me ride in the truck with them to my new destination!  I really have only positive things to say about this moving company, though the name is unfortunate.

NOT SMOOOTH! My fiance and I hired these movers for an April 09 move. Their offer of 4 movers for a reasonable price was attractive, but I was told that they would charge for moving blankets, tape, etc. So I went out and rented moving blankets and told the appointment setter that we would be using our own packing tape, etc. Well, when the movers showed up only 2 movers were sent instead of the 4 I had requested, and I was told that moving blankets were free. They did send 2 more guys, but by the time they arrived half the job was done and the first 2 (and we) were exhausted. After the movers left we discovered that a very large folding table had been left behind at the old address (which we had to figure out how to move in a hatchback) and that the movers had put packing tape directly onto finished wood furniture under moving blankets. My complaints to the company and requests for them to pay for refinishing have been met with responses such as "You said to use your tape." No packing tape should be put on wood furniture! They have also not responded to the BBB complaint we filed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Wow, as long as I've been on YELP I'm finally excited to find one of the companies I've used to post a review.  This company is AWESOME. I used them for my recent move and it was really as SMOOOTH as it gets.  They arrived 10 minutes BEFORE they were suppose to, were very professional and handle my furniture, boxes, etc. with care.  I would recommend them to anyone who is needing a mover that may have never used movers or have had bad experiences in the past.  I'd never used a mover so with a variety of horror stories I heard from friends, I was very skeptical. I called around to different places to get a quote, ask questions, etc.  I found the initial call to this company made me more at ease than any other, so I though, "Why not give them a try." And needless to say, I am GLAD I did.  The price was more than reasonable and the service worth every penny.  I even tipped the movers and brought them beverages as they were loading the truck.  Thanks again SMOOOTH Moving:)
