Absolutely horrible.I had researched around and found them to be recommended, and their ICC record looked OK.  And they are affiliated with a well known company--North American Van Lines, so we figured it would be good.  Boy were things anything but OK.  We hired them to move us, paid for 4 guys.  I think it was about $130 hour.  We had them come out for a written estimate (as just about everyone had suggested to do), and we also paid extra for a few thousand dollars of insurance coverage beyond the "required" 30 cents/pound.When they showed up, they had 2 guys and 2 17 year old kids.  The 17 year old kids had obviously never moved before.    The older guy was obviously training them at how to carry things.  Despite their low productivity, we still would have been OK if they actually moved things successfully and without damage.  As they carried things down the stairs, they managed to hit the furniture along the wall as they passed down every step.  We didn't really concern ourselves with correcting them too much, as we had known we paid extra for the actual replacement value insurance. When all was said and done, just about every piece of "case good" furniture we have had some sort of damage on it (the sofa legs were broken off, all of our bookshelves had huge scratches on them, legs were wobbled off, etc).  Our upholstered chairs had huge dirt stains on the back.  The place we moved into was brand new.  They got grease and dirt all over the brand new carpet from their dolly. We called to file our insurance claim and they sent some guy out who was going to fix things.  We did let him fix some things, and he did an "OK" job.  Other things, which were worth a lot of money, weren't going to be fixable by his fake touchup crayon markers.  We asked to file an insurance claim.A few weeks went by and we heard nothing.  We wrote several written letters and sent them to them.  We then filed a complaint with the ICC.  The ICC followed up.   I attempted to file a dispute with my credit card company but they wouldn't let me.  It was determined that the insurance we had paid a good $200 for was "invalid" because REO had not paid their insurance premium to the company that provides it.  So there would be no insurance claim.  outraged, we wanted a refund.  They wouldn't give us a refund, and we had to fight just to get the amount we paid to them for insurance back.We kept writing to the ICC (the ICC is the state agency that regulates movers in Illinois--if they want they can pull their license or fine them, etc)..  They were pretty much useless.  The ICC kept writing letters to REO, to which they didn't respond.  The ICC would then write us a letter saying "REO hasn't responded" ... Several months and several more letters written, and still nothing came of it.  We eventually just kind of gave up as we had put hours and hours of work into getting it resolved and there was still nothing happening.I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy, if I had a worst enemy.  Negative stars if I could.

Awful experience. I was given about 20 boxes for $25 so that I could begin packing.  The boxes were used and not as large as I'd like.  On the day of move, I was scheduled at 11 a.m. No one showed up until 2 p.m.  I had reserved a 11-1 move-out from my residence.  It was really for exclusive use of the elevator.  The movers did not finish until 5 p.m. and by that time.  I could not move into my new residence b/c of the late time.  This was a Saturday, so my belongings stayed on a truck for 2 nights.  The movers worked fast enough and had a system.  On Monday, I had to call the company to remind them of my situation.  The owner knocked off $100.  It was terrible.  In the end, my items were moved in.  Again, the workers moved swiftly, systematically, quietly; nothing broken or missing.  It was all awkward b/c I did not want to pay them all the money agreed.  I had to speak w/ the owner on the phone and negotiate a price.

Wretched unprofessional Darryl and his girlfriend Della moved my things her boyfriend damaged my sofa broke my tv stand they argued curling the entire move which was an inside move. However had I known Della was his girlfriend I would have kicked them out sooner. Mr Hughes the owner is a darn liar he promised to clean my furniture and as today has not fulfilled his promise. I will never use these people ever again apparently he's not licensed and bonded like he says he is.

Worse moving company ever! No insurance! Inexperienced workers. Thieves and outright unprofessional. Stealing from the customer, breaking valuable furniture and inability to accommodate complete move. They should be forced out of business.

For future reference to all those planning on moving: DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY (REO) YOUR BUSINESS!!! Today, on one of the coldest snowy days of the year, they took my mother thru HELL. Her appointment to move (scheduled wks ago) was scheduled for this morning at 9am, with a 4-man team. NO ONE showed up for at least FOUR HOURS!!! When Mom finally got to speak to someone (my guess is the owner or manager) he was apologetic and told her the excuse for the 4-hour wait was that there was a "shortage of movers" today. What the hell? Someone dropped the ball. Big time. Whether this was a scheduling conflict or otherwise, this inconvenienced my mother as well as a group of others who came out to help. What's worse, is that she received a parking ticket waiting on the movers. Plus, the movers that did arrive weren't the original guys scheduled for this job, but these guys were pulled from other jobs JUST completed... and after the move was finally complete (after 3 MORE hrs later), the owner/manager didn't even offer my mother a discount or credit of any type. Evidently, REO just cares about the customers' money, not the customers themselves. Word to the wise: regardless of how many years they've been in business, REO is obviously unorganized, poorly mismanaged and ruthless. The so-called management are nothing but cold-hearted bastards!!!!
