My parents are usually very skeptical with hiring service companies based on reviews that we see on social media sites. However, every time we received a reference to this company it was followed by positive the evaluations of them and no one really had anything bad to say. Anna long as they were pretty concerned about hiring them despite all of the good things we heard but at the same time it could not be happier with the results that we received their help. These guys were able to complete a move that was estimated to take seven days in under four, and then the final day was just to deliver the final furniture sets into the new place.

i had a very bad experience with LDME as they moved my stuff from chicago to south carolina.   my move involved the pickup of 10 boxes, plus chair and printer from my office, and the transport to SC. simple, right? well... 1) they forgot to pick up the office chair, though it was explicitly stated in the initial inventory i submitted. i had to follow up and waste my time.2) when following up on things, mark kaplan with whom i was in touch, would often not return calls and emails. more follow ups needed, time waste, ...3) out of the blue and *weeks before the scheduled delivery date*, the driver calls me and tells me my goods would be delivered tomorrow. when i tell him that the delivery date is next month, he panics, says he'll call his supervisor, and hangs up. LOL!4) finally, when delivered, boxes seemed crushed as if an elephant had been playing piano on them. see pictures. i am glad i did not let my furniture be transported with the same company.5) oh, and they LOST a bag, which i clearly stated - along with damage to the boxes - on the delivery receipt. no follow up from the company, of course, and i am too exhausted to deal with them.p.s. some more info as a bonus: this seems to be a national network with headquarters in LA, and they subcontract a lot of the work, e.g. to Olympia in chicago, etc. their logistics & service seem very weak from my one experience.p.p.s. because you have diligently read so far, one more tidbit: each local office of LDME has its own yelp page, and one location was recently blocked by yelp for fraudulent behavior (forcing positive reviews upon customers for discounts). their yelp pages all seem curiously new and scrubbed of bad reviews. i will keep following my review and pictures and will get in touch with yelp if necessary to ensure that objective reviews remain posted.very happy other people had better experience with LDME, and i wish the company to put more effort into coordination & competence of all workers involved. good luck to all :)

My parents had moved to a small-town in Chicago a few years ago, and decided to get remarried and move back home. They had considerable trouble until we were referred to Long Distance Moving by a friend. These guys were such well mannered and and worked extremely hard. A great thank you from our family to the Long Distance family! Would definitely recommend.

As with everything in my life I procrastinate, so why would getting ready for a big move be any different. I was looking around for awhile Sam, from Long Distance was one of the first got get back to me, and he was able to handle the very-short-notice move for me. They're professional, careful, and courteous, and very conscientious about living up to and exceeding the services they commit to, as in giving me a estimate for the move that they stuck to. The moving crew was friendly and very quick at packing the boxes. At every step of the way Roberto made sure I knew what was going on and what the plan was for the move. Making my last minute move nice and easy.

I used this place when I needed help moving some items to my new place. I had a few people mention Long Distance Moving Experts so I decided to check them out. I called them up and they were easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. When they came out the guys were nice and helped me label some last minute boxes and loaded them up. My items arrived fast and  there wasn't any dents or scratches. There wasn't any fine print or extra changes at the end. I highly recommand this company when looking for help. They are affordable and make things go smooth.
