I'm pondering a long distance interstate move. I accessed MovingGuru's website which advertised 'free moving calculator'. When I plugged in my basic information, I got a call within seconds from a representative who wanted me to confirm that my contact information, (Email and phone), be sent out to multiple moving companies who would then contact me to provide additional information and quotes.I told the MovingGuru rep that NO, NO, and NO, I was not ready to have my information distributed to movers, I was not interested in that. She heard me clearly, and agreed she would not. And then, a mere few minutes later,,,,, I got barraged with DOZENS of unsolicited calls and emails, many of which were 'high pressure' and won't leave me alone. Furthermore, I immediately started getting email Spam with malware attached. Don't know if this was MovingGuru's doing or one of the movers who use them as the referral service, either way, it is MOVINGGURU's fault for lying to me and sending my contact info out without permission!!!Unless you want to be hounded, lied to, misled, spammed, high pressured, and have emails with malware sent to you, Do not do business with this disreputable firm!!!!
