I've now contracted this company to do two moves for me.My initial rating for this company would have been 5-stars.  They were positively the FASTEST moving company I have ever witnessed.  This means a lot, considering I have moved from country to country, city to city, house to house extremely often in my life.  Never have I seen a company move this fast. For my first move, they sent 4 men who emptied out my house and loaded everything into their truck is approximately 45 minutes before they zoomed out of the driveway.  They took about 1.5 hours to move my things into my new place, even with an elevator that was not dedicated to the move.  None of my furniture was damaged, but one tiny flaw was that they had used red moving tape to hold my front door open, and that left a mark on the wall.  I had negotiated a fee with the owner prior to the move, and they stuck to that rate, even with one extra trip needed to drop one of my things off elsewhere. For my recent second move with Kim's Moving - they again showed up on time, and began working immediately.  Due to this being a same-city move, from apartment to apartment (which includes elevators), they would not commit to a set price, and we had no choice but to go with an hourly price.Kim's Moving charges $300 for the first two hours for 3 movers.  Each additional hour afterwards is $100/hour flat.  This move was a rather large move, and I was a bit concerned about the price, especially considering the complexities involved in my new place where it would require two elevators to get to my unit. The movers worked nonstop, as expected, from the first minute.  One man stays behind by the truck to load, one is moving back and forth from truck to elevator, and the other moves from elevator to unit -  go, go, go, nonstop.Just like my previous move, they moved me out of my place fast, though it took a lot longer than moving out of a house due to elevator size, hallways, etc.  This time, however, they did do a bit of damage on the way out where somehow, someway, a rather big piece of paint got chipped off the wall.  Luckily, it's no more than a spackle/paint job, but it did happen.  They claimed they didn't do it.   While I did not see them do this, there is no question in my mind that this damage was not there prior to their actions, and the big, whole and intact piece of paint chip I found on my floor right below the damage says otherwise. The move-out process for two units took over 5 hours.Moving INTO this unit was a horrendous ordeal due to the design of this building.  It took a long time on account of the inconveniences, but the movers powered  through nonetheless.  The process of moving everything into this apartment took another 5 hours, for a total of 10 hours, costing $1100.  While this is a cost that I consider to be rather high for an inner-city move - this recent move did have unusual circumstances, as I've mentioned. In conclusion, I have seen many moving companies who are MUCH more careful packing up people's lives and moving people in and out.  Still, time is money and in my case, whatever I have that is precious can be moved by me, and I need movers to get everything else out of my place and into a new place as quickly as possible with no real damage.  Given that I have some 200+ bottles of wine - and not one bottle was broken in the process, I have a massive amount of kitchenware and glassware, and none of them were broken, I can't help but say that they were careful "enough".  The one star that I dock from this company is solely because I can't say that there was NO damage to my home in the process of moving.  When there is  damage, however minor, I expect a moving company to first acknowledge, and then compensate should it be warranted, and Kim's Moving company didn't do that.  Mistakes happen, but denying it is not the professional response I would expect.  It's not a big deal that my landlord will charge me a small fee to fix the damage, but to be a true 5-star moving company, I expect perfection from start to finish.  I have one other complaint about this company but perhaps this is a more personal thing.  I am downright anal about labeling items in a box, and specifying which room a particular box is to go to within the new house.  "Room 1",  "Bathroom 2", or "Hallway Closet" is written on the box in big letters for a reason - and one that I'd ideally hope the movers abide by as they bring boxes into the new house.  In both moves, I found my labels ignored, and aside from Kitchen items, I found boxes in the wrong rooms, and needed to move them to their right locations. In any case, I do recommend Kim's Moving Company. They are fast, good, and economical.  Let's face it -  when moving, the objective is to hurry up and get out of your old place, into the new place - and Kim's Moving does this just right.Thank God that's OVER!

This is the worst moving company ever as far as I'm concerned all the drivers should be arrested for theft I've had an iPad and several other things stolen they broke a lamp they broke the leg on one of my living room corner table they absolutely have no concern for anything or anybody but themselves very selfish people from upper management down to their drivers who I believe are illegal not one of them spoke English and IRS should really look into this company we try to write checks and they did not except only cash on then I tried to get them to sign a piece of paper saying that they received The money they absolutely refuse that tells me they are not paying Texas where other companies would unfair to the other companies and American people yes I pay what I thought was right for me to do they do the job but yet I assume I was going to have some kind a receipt no receipt nothing they wanted to sign so people be aware if you want your items broken possibly stolen and Rob and you pay them cash there is no way for you to say hey you broke it and they will tell you to bed no warranty will never cover when you faith that they will fail

Kim's moving is an unethical, irresponsible, dishonest business. Several of our belongings during the move disappeared. (3step folding ladder, clothes dryer, and our most expensive and prized equipment stored, our $500 Dyson vacuum cleaner) (also one of our glass frames was shattered as well) We didn't realize that they were gone until after the move had finished, and we started looking for these things. We called them back... and surprisingly... Mr Kim says he can't do anything about it...  no sorry, or we'll see what we can do attitude. after a few minutes of tussle he says he will look for it. After waiting for 2 days... no return call... so I call Mr Kim back.  He says his movers don't remember seeing it... and that he has no way of knowing if that ever existed in the storage.   I ask for a partial reimbursement... but he says that since we didn't sign up for insurance that it was our mistake.   HOW irresponsible can a mover be?He then says... how he helped us with the move!!!!  This was a business transaction... he loses our stuff (the most expensive piece) and he justifies losing our stuff by saying he was doing us a favor????  we paid him fair and square for his services.  Oh... one more thing. We actually found someone else's stuff in our stuff. And Mr Kim never mentions anything about retrieving it for his other customer.... This shows he doesn't care what his customer's lose and doesn't have the integrity to find or return. I also heard of another family who stored their stuff with Kim's moving, but Mr Kim later said they made a mistake on the costs... so when they called them to move thier stuff to Korea... they actually had to throw away some of their stuff because Mr Kim miscalculated the cost....
