Stan Moving

It was tough enough having to move into a new home on a budget, but these guys made it a lot easier and more affordable to move all of my couches and bedding. When I contacted this company, I was assuming it would be some Mom and Pop little company, but I was stunned at their level of professionalism and courteousness when I told them I was moving out of a third story apartment complex. Their rates were about the same as some of the other movers I looked up on CL, but I doubt anyone would move faster than these guys. They told me they had 2 more houses to do after my apartment (which only took 1 and a half hours) and they followed me to my new single family home and unloaded everything in the garage for me within 25 minutes. Overall, the job and experience took 2.5 hours from beginning to finish and for that rate, I even tipped the three guys each $20 for the speed at which they finished the job. Would definitely recommend these guys if you're looking for a quick and affordable move.

I am a little surprised that this company has two solid reviews so far... Unfortunately, my experience was quite different and I hope that this review at least helps others who may be thinking about using Stan Moving.We recently purchased a coupon through Living Social to use Stan Moving to help us move from our current apartment to our new house. We called the company and set up our move date about 2 weeks in advance. The week of the move, we called the company again to confirm our move date and time, as we have had issues with moving companies we have used in the past. They never answered the phone. We must have called a combined 50 times and left 5-10 voicemail messages (calling from our numbers, work numbers and blocked caller-IDs)...but they never answered the phone. About 2 days before our move date, we finally got someone on the line who confirmed our time.The day of the move, the company simply just didn't show up. We never received any call or warning and to this day, we have still not been able to get hold of them. Considering that our lease expired two days later, we were forced to book a different moving company last minute.While you may have a different experience than me, I found this company to be extremely unprofessional and it made our move very stressful. I would recommend looking elsewhere before choosing Stan Moving.

Update in case you were curious: These people never showed up and never called, it's a total scam. Had to pay over a grand for new movers who would come last minute.

DO NOT PURCHASE THE LIVING SOCIAL DEAL FOR THIS COMPANY! It is impossible to contact anyone to schedule an appointment. They do not respond to emails. I have also tried calling multiple times a day over the past WEEK and I have been sent to voicemail EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have NEVER spoken directly with someone at this company. They seem like a scam more than anything. Don't waste your money!
