Local moving services from and to anywhere in the Los Angeles area.When you have decided you want to book your move, all you have to call and we will set it up for you. No deposit is required.We provide you with unlimited wardrobe boxes, as well as blankets & stretch wrap to protect your furniture, all at no charge.On the scheduled day we will come to your door, wrap your furniture in blankets, and move all your belongings carefully and efficiently to your new home. We have been moving people in the Los Angeles area for over 25 years.Moving can be a very stressful experience for many people, so our aim is to make your move as easy for you as possible.We are licensed by the P.U.C. Our license number is T-190154.If you store your belongings with us, all your furniture will remain completely wrapped in thick moving blankets the entire time.  Blankets and wardrobe boxes are provided at additional charge,We store everything in vaults, which are large wooden crates approximately 7 ft long, 5 ft wide and 8 ft tall.There is no charge for the first month's rent (provided you use our moving service to move you both in and out), and after that your charges are pro-rated. If you stay in our storage for one month and one day, then all you pay for is one day!

History

Established in 1987. The business was started in 1983 by Craig Clark using the name «Craig's Quality Movers». In 1986 Tim Gordon joined him and formed a partnership, briefly doing business as The Pilgrim Moving Co. before becoming A Better Way to Move in 1987.For the first few years the two of them did most of the moving themselves, slowly taking on additional employees and carefully teaching the importance of taking care of the customers and their furniture and belongings.  The company operated from a store front on Venice Blvd from 1991 until 2004, when they moved to a warehouse near the 105 freeway.Craig left the partnership in 1994 to join a seminary, leaving Tim Gordon as the sole owner.

After another week of open dialogue - Tim really made the effort to hold up the integrity of service from A Better Way to Move. And though my experience wasn't the best, the effort to not push me off really does matter. He took my feedback and did his best to meet me where I was in my experience. So I wanted to make sure that I updated you on the final service I received. Still be mindful (as one should be with any moving experience), but at least the outcome was better than I think it would have been with another company.Thanks A Better Way to Move for trying to make it a little less painful.

Found A BETTER WAY TO MOVE on the social media site Next Door. A few folks in the hood had used them and raved. From the first call to the final box they proved to be a solid decision. Hopefully, I'll never have to move again but if I do - I'm calling these guys.   An excellent experience all around.

Luis & Luis helped us move. They showed up on time, ready to go with a positive and pleasant attitude. I was impressed with the way they were able to maneuver the truck up a narrow and steep driveway and small space up here in Topanga canyon. They were confident and skillful and careful, they didn't even seam disheartened when we arrived to our new house and had to deal with 30 steps to the house and then more steps in the house. I highly recommend this company and both Luis' too.  Thanks guys!!

Because of my five star experience in 2015, the only moving company I called to relocate me again was A Better Way to Move!  As an experienced packer and mover during high school and college, I had everything ready for the four men I requested to move our belongings.  Although we lived on the fourth floor of an apartment building and one of the two elevators was out of service, the crew from A Better Way to Move got me loaded and unloaded in 5.5 hrs!  Even though our move was less than a mile away, they still wrapped all our furniture in plastic to prevent it from getting soiled or damaged. They are highly reliable, efficient and professional and even if my next move is into an old folks home, I will definitely hire them again!
