I used Moving Help to unload two U-boxes and move the belongings into a new apartment in Chicago. The experience was a disaster. First, the original movers I booked for ~$350 waited until 16 hours before my scheduled move to tell me they don't unload U-boxes and so would have to cancel, despite me telling them days earlier the exact services I needed and receiving no response at that time. Since I was moving into a highrise and had an elevator reservation, I needed to quickly find another mover via phone call. Moving Help's customer service rep on the phone had a serious lack of knowledge and misled me on the total cost. He couldn't tell me whether what I needed would cost $240 or $480 - he just said if the movers only asked for one payment code when they were done it'd be $240, if they asked for both it'd be $480. Great. About an hour after booking the movers through Moving Help's rep, I received a call from the movers' office. I actually owed them another $250 for labor, which Moving Help never mentioned. So in total, I had to pay $730 to transport and unload two U-boxes. I have multiple friends that could've helped for probably $100 each, but since I was misled on the cost and had movers cancel I had no idea and no time.I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to at least try to recoup the $250 that Moving Help never mentioned when I agreed to the booking. Moving Help stated on 8/10/2017 that they would contact me "in a few days". 20 days later and I still haven't heard from them.

NEVER use this service which is on the UHaul website. movinghelp.com is totally a waste of time and after paying for the movers to load, unload, the mover never showed up. They said they never got the job, although it was clearly paid for in full 2 weeks ahead of time. So there I was, with a 26 ft Uhaul truck, empty and waiting for the guys to load it. Long long discussion with Uhaul management to get my money back. I will never use any Uhaul product again, ever.

The movers affiliated with this company are all good, but the website/moving help.com is horrible. The website charges you the full amount the moment you make a reservation. If you cancel, they do not immediately refund your money. You have to find the hidden link to click to get a credit on your charge card. Once you make an order, you can add additional services to it, but if you need to reduce your order, you cannot. You then have to cancel your order and start over. I have used this company 3 times. Each time was a mess, so of course won't ever again. They billed me twice for the same job. I finally found a phone number on my credit card bill...certainly not on their web-site as the post NO phone number. I actually spoke to someone who said it was my fault for clicking twice on the order and I would have to figure out how to get a refund!!! Really??? And, they have not given me my refund yet for a job I cancelled. DO NOT USE THEM-!! They are affiliated with UHaul.
