Father and Son Moving & Storage

I have used Father and Sons Moving 3 different times. I keep going back to them because they simply are the best. My wife and I always have everything packed up and ready to go when they arrive. We had a 3,000 square foot house in Queen Creek and they had it completely emptied and on the truck within 90 minutes. The movers were always very kind and hard working. I never saw them even take a rest or eat anything. Just a drink of water here and there during the time they moved us. The owner of the company is a very professional business woman. I am always referring potential movers to use this company. 5 stars all the way!

This is the worst company ever.  They damaged so much of my high end custom made furniture and asked me not to claim it through insurance because they were nice to me!  Are you serious? Being nice is expected in customer service from a company, but that doesn't give you the right to damage my expensive things!!!!  They will be hearing from my lawyer.To clear up the message from the owner - i called one of the movers to pick up some furniture I bought after moving into my house. He was not responsible for damaging my furniture. I understand that furniture can be damaged in moves, but it's the way the OWNERS handled it. They refused to replace or fix the items and said it was a part of moving. When I used Just-In-Time movers, the broke something and replaced it immediately and couldn't be more apologetic. Use them!!!!

I am breaking my rule of not reviewing contemporaneously here.The crew they sent sized up the job upon arrival and the foreman suggested that I cancel and he and his crew would come back the next day with their own truck and handle the move for less - I said no and called the company to let them know that their crews were profiteering on the side...big mistake.This was the move from hell.They busted stuff.They stole stuff.They were a complete nightmare.You've been warned.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!These guys handled our move to California back in 2004 - I can't believe I just now thought about Yelping the experience.  In short, we weren't feeling the love from U-Haul, and we needed to get to CA so I could start my new job.  Father & Sons was able to do the job on short notice, so they got our business.I should've known something was wrong when the crew, after loading our apartment in PHX, drove away with the back door of the moving van OPEN!  Luckily, I saw it in time, but I had to chase them down in my car to let them know - my stuff would've probably been strewn all up and down 7th St. had I not.  Somehow, the truck beat us to California.  The guy driving the truck managed to talk our new apartment manager into letting him start the unloading process before we even arrived!  Big mistake...  Not only could we not do an inspection on the apartment while still empty, we couldn't supervise the load-in.  Just what they wanted, I suspect.  With the exception of the big furniture, they put every box possible in the small guest bedroom - stacked floor to ceiling - so we had no idea what was there or not.  In the end, many things were broken, and some things were stolen.  You know it's a bad sign when the guy loading your old apartment out asks you as he passes by if the stuff written on the box is really what's inside!  I know, I know...  How stupid could I be?  Hindsight truly is 20/20.I called the company to complain once we took stock of the damage in total, but they never did anything about it.  They just avoided me, so I get the impression that these folks make a habit of doing business this way.  I would've been better off buying a ticket on Southwest, flying to CA to start the job, and then coming back the next weekend with my own truck to do it myself.What a NIGHTMARE.  These guys shouldn't just be out of business, they should be imprisoned.

THEY HOLD YOUR STUFF HOSTAGE UNTIL YOU PAY THEM FIRST!!!I was recommended to Father and Sons during my last move by a moving company that I used previously.  The movers were not careful with packing my outdoor furniture into the truck.  While packing a planter into the truck, the move dropped the planter on the truck and left dirt all over my boxes and furnitures.  Their truck stalled in my driveway.  It wasted 15 mins.  It was very unprofessional and "ghetto"...But that's not it...Towards the end of the move, the "boss" - I think his name is Joe, told his mover to make me pay first before they can bring the rest of my furnitures into my condo.  The stuff that were in the trucks were the bulk of my expensive furnitures and TV.  They literally closed the door on the truck and stood there until I pay them.  Joe was upset that I thought that his truck stalled in my driveway and that I complaint about their services.Moving is frustrating as it is and them holding my furnitures hostage, made it the worse move ever.  The movers damaged my outdoor planters because he dropped it on the truck and dirt covered a lot of the furnitures and boxes.  They tracked the dirt into my new condo.  They damaged my outdoor furniture and when confronted with it, they accused me of it...So, learn from me and DO NOT USE Fathers and Son's Moving company.  You only hear about moving company holding other people's stuff hostage for out of state moves, not local moves.  Don't let this happen to you.
