I've hopped around a multitude of times over the years, and with the jumps there is often an inevitable storage unit related experience on the horizon. Due to some past qualms... I'm usually a bit hesitant to dive head-first into a particular spot, but in moving to Phoenix on a whim, I didn't have long to do my 'storage research'.Nonetheless, I couldn't have found a better spot. This place is awesome, period. Every time I sauntered through the door I was greeted by the absolutely amazing staff - all smiles and an altogether pleasant experience. Cheryl is a super cool woman and again, I was almost excited to come to my storage unit to interact with her! Matt is also equally awesome. Mark gets a special shout-out with his amazing customer-service skills. No joke, the dude spent a considerable amount of time helping me fix an item that was important to me. The staff is nothing short of phenomenal! If every company lived up to their vision of service and excellence - the world would be a better place.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I just got done helping a freind move and everything was good until about a half hour into loading the truck the employee named Cheryl, who says she's a manager (which I don't believe), decided that she didn't like where the other employee told us to park in the first place. We kept loading because we were only half way done and Cheryl started going nuts. She yelled at us, flipped us off multiple times, and called us 1995'ers. Thus girl doesn't deserve a job anywhere on the face of this earth, so I don't know who in their right mind gave her one as a manager. My friends and I ended up just throwing everything in the truck because she came out every 10 minutes to continue to yell at us. We literally left that place as fast as we can to go into a walmart parking lot to finish loading. Trust me, this place isn't worth the cost savings because of her. Go somewhere else. I will also be filing a formal age discrimination complaint with the district attorney's office for her 1995'er comment (even though I was born in 1988).

For the last 10 years (2005) had various units at this facility. I have seen many Managers come and go. According their records I have only been there since 2009. The price eachmonth is reasonable I have been told by them. Many, many years as a customer.

The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because they have a really good move in special for $20 any size unit for the first month. No hidden fees or anything. But I will say that their customer service is more than awful it's down right unprofessional and disgraceful. When I first got my unit the guy told me I can bring my own locks when I move my stuff in. 3 days later I show up at open 6am and I'm on a time crunch. I had to get the uhaul back by 7am and I also hired two men that stand outside of home depot to help unload. When I arrived to my surprise they had put their own locks on my unit. The office didn't open until 8 am so I called the number on my paperwork and they called someone out to help me. The guy shows up irate with me because he had to be woken up to help me. I explained that the guy from 3 days prior told me I could bring my locks when I moved in and the guy very rudely stated "well that was over a week ago what do u expect" when I told him that I'm under alot of stress and asked him to plz calm down he just said "u have no idea what a bad day is now give me your I.d so I can confirm that its ur unit" I was literally in tears which the guy could care less about. I then had to load my entire unit on my own because the guys I hired had just unloaded it by my unit since it was locked. I also have had other really unprofessional run ins with these people which are too lengthly to comment on but I wouldn't suggest this place to some one I dislike or to anyone. I will be ecstatic when I'm able to remove my things from this place. I will forever spread the word on what an awful place this is and I am currently in search of a new place that I will be happy to spend my $ at. After the first month it's over $200 anyways so If I'm going to spend it def shouldn't be with this establishment. Sorry for my long review.

I have used Public Storage, so when I decided to rent a storage space at East McDowell Storage Solutions I called to find out what additional charges I was going to have to pay over and above the advertised rate of $19.95 for the first month. To my utter amazement, there were none.  Yes, I handed over a $20 and they gave me back a nickel. They are true to their advertising, affordable and wonderful people to deal with. There are plenty of carts to use to move your belongings, the unit was clean and the building is open for many hours each day. I can't recommend them enough!
