What can I say? After dealing with Daniels Moving and Storage twice I can state with complete honesty they are the worst run company I have ever dealt with in my entire life! If I could rate them with ZERO stars I would. We had them move us into their storage faciltiy early 2015 from the 33rd floor condo in Phoenix. They told us they had handled moves from our building on "many occasions". When they showed up late with a truck that did not fit into our buildings dock I should have gotten suspicious. They left an came back 2 hours later with a smaller truck that also did not fit and smaller crew. {3 movers for a 2800 foot condo} So since the truck did not fit one of the movers had to remain at the truck {which was ridiculous}  because they "forgot to bring a lock". So we paid for one of the crew to smoke cigarettes and guard the truck! We called management and vehemently complained about staffing. They assured us it would be addressed. It was never addressed so at 10PM that evening short staffed they were still loading our belongs. They ended up leaving the entire kitchen materials untouched so the next day I packed it myself and took it to our new storage unit. Oh I forgot they were also supposed to empty our storage unit down the street but had to come back the next day to pick it up! Only problem was they could not find the storage unit {largest U-haul storage facility in downtown Phoenix} and made me wait 2 hours for their arrival! The "our GPS was broken" excuse was given me! Seriously? So now it was time to receive our belongings back from Daniels Moving and Storage. When it arrived in the wooden vaults the crew on several occasions remarked how "poorly our furniture was packed in the vaults". Well they were right as fine furniture was packed in with metal outdoor furniture and furniture with CLEAR signs stating "Do not stack on ends." - WERE STACKED ON END! Many pieces were without blankets piled in vaults. As they unpacked we pointed out damage and it was noted. 80% of our furniture was less than 6 months old and was pristine in condition. Sadly it no longer is. There are gouges and finish chips in almost every piece they handled and stored. The final straw came when the foreman attempted to assemble our dining room table without the proper parts which we argued were in a "parts box" that they needed to find. I left to run an errand and when I returned he told me he had "fixed the dining room table and they were ready to leave". I took his word for it and they left. Later that evening I was arranging the furniture and bumped the dining room table and it moved off the base! This is a couple of hundred pound top that he had just set on top  of the pedestal that he had jerry rigged with incorrect mounting hardware and left. Can you imagine if one of our relatives children had pulled this top on to them?  By the way we discovered the plainly marked "Parts Box" which was in a Daniels Moving and Storage box!!! This was a malicious and calculated misdeed on this companies crew. After hearing from us they sent two crew members to confirm that the table was:A. Left in a dangerous condition. This was a reprehensible act by Daniels Moving and Storages crew supervisor.B. That the table would have to be repaired professionally because of the damage done to the inner bolt assemblies by the crew supervisor. They also used parts in the found "parts box" to reassemble some other furniture that was also missing the correct parts.After many "runaround" conversations with different management employees and filling out required claim paper work we were notified their insurance adjuster would come survey all the damages to our furniture. He came and assured us that the repairs would be completed professionally and in the case of two seriously damaged pieces that they "would be replaced". He asked for and we provided the original invoices for the furniture pieces to be replaced. We never heard back from him and after several attempts to contact him I assumed that it was the end of the year and we would hear back after the holidays. I was dead wrong.......This week I received a letter from Vicky Selby "Client Services Manager" from Daniels Moving and Storage. In a terse and boiler plate letter she informed me we would be getting $417.00 to "finalize our claim". What happened to the insurance adjusters promises? What happened to common courtesy and customer service? What happened to the repair to our dining room table that the Daniels crew jerry rigged and left in a dangerous non installed condition? This letter is an outrageous and callous treatment of a client that was grossly miss-communicated with and serviced by all employees/management of Daniels Moving and Storage.Daniels Moving and Storage management and employees should be embarrassed by the way they treated us and we would NEVER - EVER recommend them for your moving and storage requirements. if I could give 0 stars I would! They are the company my husband's employer contracted for the over 85 relocations. They said they would cut us a 65% off deal. Had an in home estimate, was quoted 5500 dollars for a modest 3 bedroom home which included the 65% discount! That works out to about $15,700!!! I was quoted from other companies, and my quotes ranged from 4700-5300 with NO DISCOUNTS!. They upped their cost so our so called discount would be invalid! They knowingly tried to take advantage of us. I have since, tried calling 3 times to cancel our move with absolutely no luck. I will be also reporting them to the BBB!

I wish the system allowed a "- 5" so have to stick with a generous 1 now. Recent experience Apr 2016. Very lame service overall. My goods came in 21 days which was the last day of the spread and even to make that happen I had to call / email every single day asking what is the status? where is the stuff at? Finally it came where driver had a lame excuse on bad rerouting etc. On top of that came with a broken furniture and saga to get the reimbursement is still on. The claims agent Vicky Shelby just keeps procrastinating with new dates every single time. It has been 2+ months that the case is still open. It is very annoying to deal with these people. So avoid them as much as you can. I only chose them because of Atlas Van Lines affiliation which seems their selling point otherwise who knows Daniel's Moving & Storage. New company yet they have accomplished so many complains on yelp and other places in a short period of time so kudos to that.

The three stars is generous. We had a huge move with a semi and a half from N Scottsdale to Phoenix. Very nice heavy furniture! They were late, slow, and we're hard on things. They did not bring enough help either so the move took from 9am until midnight. The supervisor was amazing. I would not use them again.

My two cabinets and couch that are vintage were ruined in storage.  This was made evident when the movers returned my office furniture.  The movers showed me the damage before it was moved from their storage pod.  Then, they offer me $90.00 to settle the matter and had an erroneous contract to try and minimize my claim.  I informed them that the furniture they damaged was vintage and literally irreplaceable.  I will never use them again and considering how I was treated after they made mistake after mistake, would never recommend them to anyone.
